Now comes "THE 12", an original rock musical written by Pulitzer Prize winning playwright, ROBERT SCHENKKAN, with Music, Lyrics, and Story concept by award winning composer, NEIL BERG. Full casting has been announced for Riverspace's upcoming production of Neil Berg's THE 12. The cast will include Ron Bohmer (The Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Ragtime) as 'Peter,' Jeremey Kushnier (Rent, Footloose) as 'Thomas,' Lawrence Clayton (Dreamgirls, The Civil War) as 'Matthew,' and Sean Jenness (The Civil War, Doug Flutie Band) as 'Bart.'

Produced by Adam Friedson and Left Feild Productions, this musical showcase is a preview to its premiere production at the Broward Center this upcoming spring. The Los Angeles premiere of Pulitzer Prize winner Robert Schenkkan's By the Waters of Babylon brings two award-winning, long-time theater actors to the Geffen stage for the first time: Demián Bichir and Shannon Cochran. Bichir, who is currently starring as Mary Louise-Parker's love interest on Showtime's Weeds, will play the role of Arturo, a Cuban immigrant who is hired to (coincidentally) weed the garden of unconventional Austin widow Catherine. Cochran, who will star as Catherine, is straight from Chicago where she starred in sold out performances of The Lion in Winter at the Writers Theatre.
