The Ringwald Theatre is proud to announce the 3rd installment of its wildly popular Gay Play Series (GPS). Last year's outing was attended by hundreds of people over a ten day festival period. This year the program will run over two consecutive weekends that will feature a one-time only event, music shows and, at the centerpiece, performances of 11 new, one act LGBT plays.

Magenta Giraffe Theatre Company of Detroit will present The Altruists, written by Nicky Silver. The production, directed by Molly McMahon, runs tonight, May 4 through May 26, 2012. The Altruists will be presented at the Furniture Factory (4126 Third Street, Detroit, MI 48201). Tickets are $15-$18, with pay-what-you-can tickets available at all performances. Viva La Vie Boheme in a dynamic production of RENT at The Ringwald Theatre! Who Wants Cake? is thrilled to open their 2009/2010 season with the smash hit musical, RENT created by Jonathan Larson. Beginning Friday, August 21st and playing for a six week engagement ending on Monday, September 28th, RENT will play Friday, Saturday, and Monday nights at 8PM with Sunday matinees at 3PM.
