Featuring hit songs such as "The Time Warp," "Sweet Transvestite" and "Hot Patootie," expect Rocky to the biggest party of the summer. Audience participation is highly encouraged. Lissa Moira directs this post-Civil War, period drama about the sexual liberationist Victoria Woodhull. Don Garverick choreographs, with set design by David Mansley and lighting design by William Giraldo.
Monday, April 23, at 8pm the National Touring Company of WICKED will host "THE WICKED ROCKY HORROR SHOW", a staged concert performance of Richard O'Brien's The Rocky Horror Show - Book, music & lyrics by Richard O'Brien. Held at Denver's historic Ogden Theatre, the event will feature the company of WICKED. The net proceeds of this event will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and Project Angel Heart.

Today in 1975, The Rocky Horror Show opened at the Belasco Theatre, where it ran for 45 performances. The Rocky Horror Show was written by Richard O'Brien, produced and directed by Jim Sharman. It tells the story of a newly engaged couple getting caught in a storm and coming to the home of a mad transvestite scientist unveiling his new creation, a muscle man named Rocky Horror. The musical was adapted into the 1975 film The Rocky Horror Picture Show, which today has a worldwide cult following and has the longest running release in film history.

According to their website, Atlantic Productuctions will present the Asian premiere of Disney's Aladdin. The show will open at Manila's Meralco Theatre in November 2012. Casting has not yet been announced.
