The Fugard Theatre in District Six, today announces that their 2013 winter musical will be Richard O'Brien's iconic rock musical THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW.

Phineas and Ferb's hilarious, yet dim witted evil genius, Dr. Doofenshmirtz, is back with a new episode in the 13 part web series, DOOF'S DAILY DIRT'.

Today in 1975, The Rocky Horror Show opened at the Belasco Theatre, where it ran for 45 performances. The Rocky Horror Show was written by Richard O'Brien, produced and directed by Jim Sharman. It tells the story of a newly engaged couple getting caught in a storm and coming to the home of a mad transvestite scientist unveiling his new creation, a muscle man named Rocky Horror. The musical was adapted into the 1975 film The Rocky Horror Picture Show, which today has a worldwide cult following and has the longest running release in film history.

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of The Rocky Horror Show, Christopher Luscombe is creating a new production for a year-long UK national tour starting at Brighton's Theatre Royal on 20 December 2012.

Off-Broadway's Page 73 Productions - a company dedicated to producing and developing works by early-career playwrights - will present readings of their 2012 P73 Playwriting Fellow Max Posner's play THE FAMISHED today, November 16 at 2pm and 7pm at Manhattan Theatre Club's Creative Center (311 West 43rd Street, 8th Fl). ...The best production I've seen in these here parts is the one that's currently onstage at The Roxy Regional Theatre, starring Matt Varelia as Frank N. Furter, Ryan Bowie as Riff-Raff, and Rob Rodems and Kaitlin Doughty as Brad Majors (asshole!) and Janet Weiss (slut!) that's just about as good as it gets.

Perhaps OpenStage Theatre should make this a regular part of Halloween festivities. For the second year in a row, thanks to an audience poll of favorites for the company's 40th anniversary, the company is staging Richard O'Brien's The Rocky Horror Show, with an appropriate opening on Halloween weekend.
