Comedian Colin Quinn will bring his incisive one-man exploration of world history, Long Story Short from Broadway to Long Wharf Theatre.

Broadway In Chicago is thrilled to announce that former 'Saturday Night Live' and Comedy Central star Colin Quinn will move his one-man show COLIN QUINN LONG STORY SHORT, directed by Jerry Seinfeld, to the Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place (175 E. Chestnut St.) for a limited three-week engagement from Aug. 24 - Sep. 10, 2011.

Taped before a live audience at the Helen Hayes Theater in New York City in February, COLIN QUINN LONG STORY SHORT showcases the comedian's keen observations in an uproarious history of the world, juxtaposing modern-day human behavior with the rise and fall of empires. From his personification of Caesar as the original Italian mobster to his complaints about ancient Greece and Antigone giving way to Costco and Snooki, Quinn is at his satirical best, taking on the attitudes, appetites and bad habits that have toppled the world's most powerful nations.

HBO will shoot the current Broadway hit 'Colin Quinn Long Story Short' for a special to debut on the network in April, it was announced today by Nancy Geller, senior vice president, HBO Original Programming.
