Georgia Shakespeare announced that it will expand its artistic programming in 2014 to include five all-new productions, including two new Shakespeare productions and a new holiday show. 'We've heard a great deal of feedback from our supporters who have made it clear that they want more theatre from us and more Shakespeare from us,' said Garner, 'They expect Georgia Shakespeare to tell timeless stories boldly, and we are thrilled to deliver. We are rebuilding in a smart, intelligent way that will make us truly sustainable way. We appreciate our supporters being patient with us in 2013, but we are ready to move forward with our freshest, boldest work yet.'
Burning Coal Theatre Company will open its 17th season with the U.S. Premiere of The Heretic by Richard Bean. The production will run September 12 - 29, 2013 at the Murphey School, 224 Polk Street, Raleigh, NC. Performances are Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30 pm (September 12 - 14, 19 - 21 and 26 - 28, 2013) and Sundays at 2 pm (September 15, 22, 29, 2013). Richard Bean's One Man Two Guvnors has to be one of the funniest plays written to date. It is nonstop hilarity from beginning to end. The show opened in 2011 on the West end, transferred to Broadway and has been on an International tour in 2013. With a multitude of musicals opening in Melbourne over the next 4 weeks, it feels like the National Theatre of London's production in conjunction with MTC could slip in and out of Melbourne without much mention, especially with King Kong dominating every available publicity space in the city. If every performance of this show is not sold out it will be a travesty. It deserves it ten fold along with an extended season.

He will join new cast members Sam Alexander, Ian Burfield, Amy Cudden, Harry Kershaw, Kelly Price and Hugh Sachs. Martin Barrass will return to the production to play Alfie, and current cast members David Benson, Rhona Croker and Derek Elroy will continue. Mensah Bediako, Owen Brazendale, Gillian Budd, Max Hutchinson, Tom Lorcan, Aimee Parkes and Claire Sundin complete the ensemble.
