Cape Rep Theatre will present the Cape Cod premiere of Richard Bean's hilarious comedy, One Man, Two Guvnors, June 19 through July 19, 2014.

The National Theatre's production of One Man, Two Guvnors is currently on an extensive tour of the country. This version stars Gavin Spokes as Francis Henshall, the man caught between two guvnors, and he is ably supported by a cast of familiar faces, including three former EastEnders stars (Jasmyn Banks as Pauline, Shaun Williamson as Charlie and Emma Barton as Dolly).

The Daily Mail reports that Billie Piper and Oliver Chris are among the actors working on a top-secret new play for Richard Bean at the National Theatre.

Today, Berkeley Repertory Theatre is proud to announce that it has completed its 2014-15 subscription programming with the addition of X's and O's (A Gridiron Love Story) written by KJ Sanchez. This dynamic world premiere is commissioned by Berkeley Rep and developed through The Ground Floor: Berkeley Rep's Center for the Creation and Development of New Work. It begins previews on Berkeley Rep's intimate Thrust Stage on Friday, January 16, 2015, opens Friday, January 23, 2015, and runs through Sunday, March 1, 2015.

TheatreSquared Artistic Director Robert Ford and Executive Director Martin Miller announced today the 2014/15 lineup of professional theatre in Northwest Arkansas, TheatreSquared Season 9. The new season launches in August 2014 with 'the funniest show in the western world' (The Daily Mail) One Man, Two Guvnors, and continues with the Pulitzer Prize-winning Proof, the theatrical adventure Around the World in 80 Days, the world premiere of Look Away, and the comic drama Superior Donuts.

Today Berkeley Repertory Theatre announced that it has added Richard Bean's internationally acclaimed smash hit One Man, Two Guvnors to its captivating collection of shows for the 2014-15 season. One Man, Two Guvnors is more than a sassy update of Carlo Goldoni's classic knee-slapper, A Servant of Two Masters. Set in 1960's Brighton, England, it's a brilliantly delicious mash-up of splendid comedy, British pantomime, and music-hall revues. The uproarious plot features a disarming and doltish Francis Henshall who finds himself trapped by farce into working for two bosses - who are connected in wildly improbable ways. He just has to keep them from discovering each other. Inspired insanity, high-low antics, and nimble wordplay ensue - all backed by live musicians paying homage to rockabilly and a certain Fab Four. Directed by David Ivers - artistic director of the Utah Shakespeare Festival - One Man, Two Guvnors is a riotous blast complete with a colorful cast of characters in a topsy-turvy world of love triangles and mistaken identities. It previews on Friday May 8, 2015, opens on May 15, 2015, and plays through Sunday June 21, 2015. The Theatre will announce one more subscription season production in the coming weeks.

BBC News reports that Sir Nicholas Hytner will close out his run with the National Theatre by directing a new play by Tom Stoppard.

The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis (The Rep) has announced its 2014-2015 season of performances on the Mainstage, as well as the three productions to be performed by its Imaginary Theatre Company (ITC). The three productions to be included in the Studio Theatre season will be announced in July.
