The ARK Trio (soprano Allison Charney, cellist Kajsa William-Olsson and pianist Reiko Uchida) had an auspicious debut presenting six world premieres of new classical compositions in front of a surprisingly packed and enthusiastic audience at Symphony Space's Leonard Nimoy Thalia this past Valentine's Day.

The ARK Trio, whose members include noted musicians soprano Allison Charney, cellist Kajsa William-Olsson and pianist Reiko Uchida, will make their New York City debut on February 14th 7PM at the Leonard Nimoy Thalia at Peter Norton Symphony Space.  The ARK trio's concert 'Love Resounding' will present six world premieres of compositions written for them by American composers Kim D. Sherman (THE WEDDING SONG, THE LAODAMIAD: A MYTHIC JOURNEY, PRAIRIE DIARY) and Michael Ching (ARRANGEMENTS AND DERANGEMENTS: INTERPRETATIONS OF SCHUBERT); Russian-born composer Dina Pruzhansky (ON LOVE AND LAND) and Israeli composer/pianist Moshe Knoll (SIMPLICITY). 

The ARK trio's inaugural concert taking place this Valentine's Day in New York City celebrates the art song and champions four noted international classical composers who collectively share a love of the poetic and draw inspiration from the ARK trio's unique sound of voice, cello and piano. In their intrepid debut as the ARK trio - soprano Allison Charney, cellist Kajsa William-Olsson and pianist Reiko Uchida -  will perform six world premieres by American composer Michael Ching -"Arrangements and Derangements: Interpretations of Schubert", Israeli composer/pianist Moshe Knoll - "Simplicity," Russian-born, Israeli raised composer Dina Pruzhansky - "On Love and Land" and three works by American composer Kim D. Sherman "The Wedding Song," "The Laodamiad: A Mythic Journey" and "Prairie Diary" at NYC's  Leonard Nimoy Thalia Theatre at Symphony Space on Tuesday February 14 at 7PM.

PREformances with Allison Charney' classical concert series featured superstar pianist Navah Perlman and the ARK trio in new works by noted composers Kim Sherman and Dina Pruzhansky at JCC Manhattan's intimate Goldman Sonnenfeltd Auditorium on February 6th.

The Saint Thomas Choir of Men and Boys presents Handel's Messiah on Tuesday, December 6 and Today, December 8 at 7:30 P.M.at Saint Thomas Church Fifth Avenue, One West 53rd Street New York, NY.   Daniel Hyde conducts Concert Royal with soloists Maria Valdes, soprano; Avery Amereau, mezzo-soprano; Miles Mykkanen, tenor and Thomas Meglioranza, bass.

On her first-ever recording of Tchaikovsky's music, violinist Jennifer Koh performs the Russian Romantic composer's complete works for solo violin and orchestra, including the Violin Concerto, with which she won the 1994 International Tchaikovsky Competition.

JCC Manhattan proudly launches the seventh season of PREformances with Allison Charney on Monday, October 19th at 12:30pm. This unique concert series offers audiences rare opportunities to hear celebrated classical musicians before they perform on the world's most prestigious stages, providing a coveted space for engagement and rehearsal whilst dissolving traditional barriers between performer and audience. In its first six years, PREformances has presented over 80 of today's most important classical musicians, nearly 30 of whom have appeared on the season multiple times.

Violinist Jennifer Koh returns to 92nd Street Y to perform Bach and Beyond Part 3, the last program of her three-part recital series exploring the history of solo violin repertoire by pairing Bach's Six Sonatas and Partitas with modern-day works and new commissions. Ms. Koh debuted Bach and Beyond in 2009 to commemorate the 325th anniversary of Bach's birth. At this recital, Ms. Koh gives the world premiere of a new Bach-inspired work by American composer John Harbison in their first collaboration together. Mr. Harbison's work, titled For Violin Alone, was co-commissioned by 92nd Street Y, Cal Performances, and the University Musical Society for the Bach and Beyond project. The program will also include Luciano Berio's Sequenza VIII and Bach's Sonatas No. 2 in A minor and No. 3 in C major.

The album is currently available for digital download and will be available on CD today, October 30.
