Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, the most fantasmagorical Broadway musical in the history of everything, flies into Atlanta's Fox Theatre beginning April 21 through April 26 for eight performances only! The special debut engagement is presented by Fidelity Investments Broadway Across America ? Atlanta as part of its 2009 season. Based on the timeless novel by famed James Bond author and creator Ian Fleming, the production features music and lyrics by the legendary Sherman brothers, composers of Mary Poppins. The national tour features an original script and fresh adaptation directed by Ray Roderick.

The 46th season includes three extraordinary musicals that are sure to delight theatregoers: the dazzling Broadway song and dance extravaganza 42nd Street will run from April 17 - June 28; the second production, the Tony Award-winning Camelot will run from July 10 - September 19; and completing the season is the zany adventure A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, featuring such memorable classics as 'Comedy Tonight,' which will run from September 25 - November 29.

Transport Group, the winner of a special 2007 Drama Desk Award and a 2007 Obie Award, will present the world premiere of Being Audrey, music and lyrics by Ellen Weiss; book by James Hindman; additional book and lyrics by Cheryl Stern; developed with Jack Cummings III and Adam R. Perlman; musical direction, arrangements, and orchestrations by Lanny Meyers; musical staging and choreography by Scott Rink; and directed by Jack Cummings III, beginning Friday, March 27, at 8:00pm at 220 East 4 Street, between Avenues A and B. CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG, a production coming to PPAC March 19 - 22, held auditions on October 25, 2008 to find six local children to appear in the chorus of the show for its Providence run. The audition included learning a dance from the show - taught on-site - in addition to each child singing a song of their choice; more than 80 talented children turned out for the audition, which took place at PPAC. The show's producers have selected Andrew Purdy, of Franklin, MA; Eric Halvarson, of Cranston; Rebekah Philip, of Rehoboth, MA; Carolina King and Virginia King, of Clayville; and Fifer Horwitz of Tiverton as the regulars, and Daniel Perkins, of Bellingham, MA and Maddie Crump, of Norfolk, MA as the boy and girl alternates.
