Goodspeed Musicals, the only two time Tony Award winning theatre in the country, announced today that due to overwhelming audience demand 42nd Street has been extended. The show will run for 8 additional performances. "The box office is buzzing! Audiences love this song and dance extravaganza and are coming back to see 42nd Street again and again," said Executive Director Michael Price. Goodspeed's dazzling production of 42nd Street will now play to enthusiastic audiences through July 4 at the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, Conn. This production is sponsored by Webster Bank.

The biggest, brightest, boldest, most sparkling dance musical ever on the Goodspeed stage! It's the ultimate Broadway fairy tale as a stage-struck understudy becomes an overnight star. Packed with razzmatazz and plenty of pizzazz, it will set your heart pounding with its rhythmically tapping feet and hit parade of songs: "Lullaby of Broadway," "We're In The Money," "Shuffle Off To Buffalo," and of course "42nd Street." 42nd Street features Music by Harry Warren, Lyrics by Al Dubin, and Book by Michael Stewart and Mark Bramble.

42nd Street is directed by Ray Roderick and choreographed by Rick Conant. The Music Director for 42nd Street is Michael O'Flaherty. 42nd Street is produced for Goodspeed Musicals by Michael P. Price.

Tickets are $26 - $69.50. Performances are Wednesdays at 2 and 7:30 p.m.; Thursdays at 2 and 7:30 p.m.; Fridays at 8 p.m.; Saturdays at 3 and 8 p.m.; and Sundays at 2 p.m..
