The epic 25th edition of Broadway Bares celebrated the golden age of Broadway with an evening of ripped dancers, cheeky choreographers and sumptuous showgirls, raising a record-shattering $1,598,501 on Sunday, June 21, 2015, for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Broadway Bares: Top Bottoms of Burlesque featured 222 of New York's sexiest and most talented dancers, entertaining standing-room-only audiences at two performances at New York City's Hammerstein Ballroom. STARS IN THE ALLEY, presented by United Airlines, was held earlier today, May 27th in Shubert Alley, between Broadway and 8th Avenue and 44th and 45th Streets. Hosted by HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH's Darren Criss, Broadway's best turned out for the annual performance - including Kinky Boots' Mia Gentile, who performed 'The History of Wrong Guys'!
After a sold-out stint at The Cutting Room, the BROADWAY SINGS concert series will reprise their latest installment, Broadway Sings Bruno Mars, at the Highline Ballroom on July 20th at 8pm. Some of Broadway's current, brightest talents will again sing completely new arrangements of the hits of funk superstar Bruno Mars, accompanied by a full band playing brand new, original orchestrations of the singer's greatest songs. Previous shows in the series included Adele, Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Stevie Wonder, Amy Winehouse, Justin Timberlake, and P!NK.

On Monday, May 11, the Broadway at Birdland concert series was proud to present Apollo Link, Broadway's premier vocal trio. After half-a-million YouTube hits, the trio brought original arrangements, impeccable harmonies and powerful vocals to the historic music room. In a slew of recent event cancellations, the next installment of the BROADWAY SINGS concert series is relocating due to a recent reception hosted by the venue's owners for Republican Presidential candidate and vocal anti-gay politician Ted Cruz. Last week, it was revealed that Ian Reisner and Mati Weiderpass, owners of The OUT Hotel, had hosted Senator Cruz at their Manhattan penthouse for a "dinner and 'fireside chat,'" as reported by the New York Times. Broadway Sings Bruno Mars, originally scheduled to take place at 8:30 PM on May 17th at 42West in The OUT Hotel, will now take place at The Cutting Room, at the same time and date.
Producers Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig welcome back Tony Award-winner Billy Porter to Kinky Boots tonight, April 28. Porter will step back into the heels of 'Lola' after a three month hiatus. Kyle Taylor Parker, who took over the role in Porter's absence, will head back on the road to continue strutting his stuff as Lola in the First National Touring Production of Kinky Boots.
