'Rock of Ages' star Mark Shunock, who plays Lonny the narrator in the hit musical at the Venetian, launches his new 'Mondays Dark' series tonight, October 21, 2013, at 9:30 pm, at The Act inside The Venetian / Palazzo. The McKittrick Hotel (530 W 27th Street, New York, NY), home of Sleep No More, will celebrate Halloween with two nights of costumed revelry for the premiere after-parties for the Temple Pictures film The Curse of the Mummy featuring Maximillian Martel and Violet DeWinter, stars of the film who also frequent the hotel on a nightly basis. The McKittrick-as it does annually-has conceived an entirely original Halloween celebration, this year an homage to classic Hollywood horror flicks with bottomless libations, live music, surprise guests DJs, and specially-crafted entertainment inspired by classic movie monsters, reimagined as only The McKittrick can. The evening will also feature, for guests who so desire, an Egyptian-inspired dining experience by Chef R. L. King.

HERE LIES LOVE is set to close at the Public Theater's downtown home on Sunday night, and the theater company is looking into 'design options for an array of theater spaces and negotiating with Broadway and downtown theater producers about remounting the show in the near future,' according to The New York Times. Oskar Eustis told NYT that an announcement about the show's future could come as early as next month.
