TheaterWorks announced today that Academy Award winner Richard Dreyfuss will be joining the cast of RELATIVITY, a new play by Mark St. Germain directed by Rob Ruggiero.

 The National New Play Network, the country's alliance of nonprofit theaters that champions the development, production, and continued life of new plays, announces its 59th NNPN Rolling World Premiere (RWP): Relativity by Mark St. Germain. The Roll includes NNPN Core Members Florida Studio Theatre (Sarasota, FL, June 24-July 2) - which originally commissioned the play - and Riverside Theatre (Iowa City, IA, March 31-April 15, 2017), as well as Associate Members Taproot Theatre Company (Seattle, WA, March 26-April 29, 2017) and Northlight Theatre (Skokie, IL, May 11-June 18, 2017).

(alphabetical listings; Equity, Equity-waiver & Non-Equity productions are mixed) (artists performing outside LA may be included in performance categories) No set, costume, or technical awards. I leave that to the bigger awards and to the expertise of those who really know those fields inside out.

The Falcon Theatre welcomes Kevin Blake now performing the role of 'F. Scott Fitzgerald' alongside Ty Mayberry as 'Ernest Hemingway' and Jackie Seiden as 'Eve Montaigne' in SCOTT AND HEM, written by Mark St. Germain and directed by Dimitri Toscas now through November 15.

Orlando Shakespeare Theater in Partnership with UCF presents the World Premiere of Magic Tree House: A Ghost Tale for Mr. Dickens, co-written by Jenny Laird and Will Osborne with lyrics by Will Osborne and music and lyrics by Randy Courts. Based on the book A Ghost Tale for Christmas Time by New York Times bestselling author Mary Pope Osborne, the Children's Series production runs from October 22 - November 20, 2015 in the Margeson Theater. Barrington Stage Company (BSC), the award-winning theatre in Downtown Pittsfield, MA,  will present a NYC staged reading of Dancing Lessons, the new romantic comedy by playwright and BSC Associate Artist Mark St. Germain on October 5.

On June 10, Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) held its annual Mainstage Season Preview in the scenic courtyard at Volt Restaurant in historic downtown Frederick, Maryland.  The evening was a great success with a packed house enjoying cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and perfect early summer evening weather as they took in a sneak peak at MET's upcoming offerings.  

Maryland Ensemble Theatre has announced its 2015-2016 Mainstage season. MET's 18th Mainstage season will run from September of 2015 through June of 2016 and will feature a cheeky English comedy, an original twist on a horror classic, a traditional holiday musical, and contemporary crowd pleasers.
