Berkshire Theatre Group announces BTG PLAYS! 2018-2019 Touring Show, Showtime with Shakespeare: A Magic Tree House Adventure, based on Magic Tree House: Stage Fright on a Summer Night by Mary Pope Osborne, book and lyrics by Jenny Laird and Will Osborne, music and lyrics by Randy Courts and directed by Travis Daly.

Berkshire Theatre Group and Artistic Director/CEO Kate Maguire have announced additions to the 2018 fall and winter seasons.

Since 1984, more than five million children, students, and families have been inspired and delighted by the live theater performances of Dallas Children's Theater (DCT). To celebrate 35 years of unmatched service to North Texas and beyond, DCT is announcing a season lineup comprised of large-scale world premieres and timeless throwbacks.  The season opens with a new and reimagined telling of Treasure Island on September 23. Produced in collaboration with three other towering Dallas based companies in their respective fields of expertise, the new telling is expected to draw all ages into the popular pirate world.

Florida Studio Theatre announces its 36th annual Richard and Betty Burdick New Play Reading Series, which will present three new staged readings by modern American playwrights. Part of FST's Sarasota Festival of New Plays, this three-day series will take place in Bowne's Lab Theatre on April 29, May 6, and May 13 at 3 PM each day. This series is free and open to the public, but reservations are required. Mark St. Germain's solo play about celebrity sex therapist Dr. Ruth Westheimer received it's World Premiere at Barrington Stage Company in June 2012. The production was met with much success and went out to play at TheatreWorks Hartford before moving to New York. In October of 2013, Becoming Dr. Ruth received its Off-Broadway premiere at the Westside Theatre. Actress Debra Jo Rupp, who originated the role Off-Broadway, received both Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Award Nominations for her portrayal of Dr. Ruth.
