It was announced today, 2 October 2012, that The National Theatre's award-winning production of WAR HORSE begins a ten month, nine-venue tour of the UK and Ireland in the autumn of 2013. A highlight of Birmingham Hippodrome's exciting autumn season, WAR HORSE performances run from Thursday 17 October to Saturday 9 November 2013, presented in partnership with Pertemps.

The National Theatre's epic War Horse, winner of five 2011 Tony Awards, including Best Play, will make its Philadelphia premiere for a two-week limited engagement from November 20 through December 2 at the Academy of Music, kicking off the 2012-13 Broadway Season presented by The Kimmel Center and The Shubert Organization.

The Kennedy Center presents the National Theatre of Great Britain and Bob Boyett production of War Horse from October 23 to November 11, 2012 in the Kennedy Center Opera House. Winner of five 2011 Tony Awards® including Best Play and based on the beloved novel by Michael Morpurgo and adapted by Nick Stafford, the tour of War Horse is directed by Bijan Sheibani based on the original Tony Award®-winning direction by Marianne Elliott and Tom Morris, and presented in association with Handspring Puppet Company of South Africa. Michael Morpurgo's novel, War Horse, is also the inspiration for Steven Spielberg's feature film of the same name, which earned six Academy Award® nominations including Best Picture. Press night will take place on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 7:30 p.m.

WAR HORSE is now Toronto's longest-running professional drama of all time. Performances began February 2, 2012, at the Princess of Wales Theatre and the show has since played 232 performances. The show's immense popularity has prompted an extension. WAR HORSE will now play until November 4, 2012 at Toronto's Princess of Wales Theatre. This week three new and six returning cast members will join the London company of the National Theatre's internationally acclaimed stage production War Horse at the New London Theatre.

Playing now through September 9, 'War Horse' will dazzle you with its stage wizardry even as it brings into bold relief the gut-wrenching horrors that humans and horses alike endured during the war that was supposed to end them all, World War I.

Joey from the National Theatre's acclaimed production of War Horse appeared on stage at the Olympic Park to salute Team GB and the world's athletes. Led by Captain Nicholls (Alex Avery), Joey reared in salute to the crowd at Park Live, which included Zara Phillips who along with her team later won silver in the equestrian events in Greenwich. Producers Bob Boyett and the National Theatre of Great Britain present the U.S. tour of the 2011 Tony Award-winning Best Play, WAR HORSE, which launched at the Center Theatre Group's Ahmanson Theatre on June 14 and continues through next Saturday, July 29. The Broadway production of War Horse, which continues its run at the Lincoln Center's Vivien Beaumont Theatre, was the winner of six Tony Awards including a Special Tony Award for Handspring Puppet Company. In February of this year War Horse opened to great critical acclaim at The Princess of Wales Theatre, Toronto. War Horse premiered at The National Theatre in October 2007.

Casting was announced today for the upcoming U.S. tour of the 2011 Tony Award-winning Best Play, WAR HORSE. The company, comprised of more than 30 performers, includes Andrew Veenstra as Albert Narracott, Brian Keane as Arthur Narracott, Michael Wyatt Cox as Billy Narracott, Todd Cerveris as Ted Narracott, Angela Reed as Rose Narracott, Jason Loughlin as Lieutenant James Nicholls, and Jason Alan Carvell as Private Schnabel.

The National Theatre's epic WAR HORSE, winner of five 2011 Tony® Awards including Best Play, will play Boise June 6-9, 2012. WAR HORSE is currently playing at New York's Lincoln Center Theater, in London's West End, and at Toronto's Princess of Wales Theatre in February 2012 for an open-ended run.

Today, 23 March 2012, the National Theatre's internationally award-winning production of War Horse releases over 250,000 new tickets for sale, taking bookings at the New London Theatre to 26 October 2013.
