Children's Playhouse of Maryland Previews HELLO, DOLLY! at Annual Gala Tonight

Children's Playhouse of Maryland, in residence at CCBC Essex, hosts its 8TH ANNUAL FUNDRAISING GALA from 6:30 p.m. until 11 p.m., today, Sept. 6 in the College Community Center Theatre at CCBC Essex, 7201 Rossville Boulevard. The program begins at 6:30 p.m. a silent auction and raffles. At 7:30 p.m., the CPM cast presents a special preview performance of HELLO, DOLLY! - CPM's first musical production for its fall 2014 season. A buffet reception will follow the performance. Tickets are $25 and available through the CCBC Box Office at 443-840-ARTS (2787).

Cockpit in Court Summer Theatre Presents ANNIE JR, 7/11-20

Maryland's oldest running summer theatre, Cockpit in Court, in residence at CCBC Essex, opens the second half of its 2014 season with 'Annie, Jr.' July 11-20, Tickets can be purchased in advance or from the CCBC Box Office (T-F 9-3) at 443-840-2787(ARTS) or online at https://www.ccbcmd.edu/cockpit/shows.html. THE ODD COUPLE, LEGALLY BLONDE & More Set for Cockpit In Court Summer Theatre's 2014 Season

Cockpit in Court Summer Theatre, in residence at the Community College of Baltimore County, Essex, in its 42nd season aims to break last year's record audience figures of over 1,100 subscribers and 8,000 patrons according Artistic Director James Hunnicutt and President of the Cockpit Board of Directors Jessica Phillips. And this year's menu of favorites - 'Peter Pan' (June 13-29), 'The Odd Couple' (June 14-29), 'Annie, Jr.' (July 11-20), 'Legally Blonde' (July 18-Aug. 3) and 'The Tale of the Allergist's Wife' (July 19-Aug. 3) - could do just that!

Children's Playhouse of Maryland, in residence at the Essex campus of the Community College of Baltimore County, will showcase its young adult actors in its production of 'A Chorus Line.' Performances will be 1 p.m. weekends, tonight, May 3 through May 18 in the Administration Building Lecture Hall at CCBC Essex, 7201 Rossville Blvd. A 4 p.m. performance on May 11 will be sign language interpreted by students from the Interpreter Preparation program. The show, which is being presented as originally written, contains adult language and content and is not suitable for younger children. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased on line at www.cpmarts.org or from the CCBC Box Office at 443-840-2787 (ARTS) on Tuesdays through Fridays from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. and at the door one hour prior to the performance (space permitting.)

The Children's Playhouse of MD, in residence at CCBC Essex, will perform Disney's "Beauty and the Beast, Jr." the weekends of Dec. 7-8, 14-15, 21 and 22 at 1 pm in the Administration Building Lecture Hall at CCCB Essex, 7201 Rossville Boulevard. On Dec. 15, an additional 4 pm. performance will be given. The Dec. 7 performance will include American Sign Language interpretation by students of the CCBC Interpreter Preparation program.
