Theatre Nova, Ann Arbor's professional playwrights' theatre, launched its Indiegogo-based membership drive late Wednesday night (https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/theatre-nova-new-plays-new-voices/x/8766562), with the goal of rallying enough memberships to raise $15,000 to finish its fundraising effort to renovate The Yellow Barn, a 2,500 square foot space located at 416 West Huron, into a unique, 85-seat 'micro-theatre' and launch its six show season in March.
Michigan's 2013-14 professional theater season was a tempestuous one, an even more unsettled year than usual for the state's theaters. So perhaps it was appropriate that this year's Wilde Awards were the 13th annual edition.

During the holiday season Performance Network Theatre presents a new take on the larger than life Broadway musical "Jerry's Girls", a revue of the work of Jerry Herman who wrote the music for shows such as "Hello, Dolly!", "La Cage Aux Folles", and "Mame". "Jerry's Girls" is directed by Carla Milarch and stars an all female cast including award-winning musical theatre actress, Naz Edwards, from November 14 - January 5, 2014 as well as a special New Year's Eve performance followed by a champagne toast at midnight. Performance Network Theatre invites audiences to discover the genius behind their award-winning productions through the brand new series, Cultural Conversations, a sequence of in-depth discussions with Michigan's finest theatre artists led by Associate Artistic Director, Carla Milarch.
