Bellevue Little Theatre, 203 W. Mission in Bellevue, will open its 2014--15 season, the theatre's 46th, tonight, Sept. 12. with the classic Rogers and Hammerstein musical, 'Oklahoma', Production dates are Sept. 12, 13, 14, 19, 20 21, and 26, 27, 28.

Perhaps the power of American Players Theatre can be determined by an audience's silence when exiting the Touchstone Theater after a Sunday evening performance, the haunting quiet almost reverent appreciation for what had transpired minutes before. In Spring Green, Sarah Day illuminates the stage in an approximately one hour forty five minute no intermission performance. APT's one woman play retells award winning author's Joan Didion's The Year of Magical Thinking, a play she adapted in 2007 and based on her memoir from the year after her husband John Gregory Dunne died in 2003 A time when Didion simultaneously coped when her daughter Quintana suffered from septic shock, often lying n the hospital's ICU hovering between life and death.

On May 12th company members from the national tour of The Gershwin's Porgy and Bess presented Inspired By Love: The Music of Brett Macias Upstairs at Vitellos, benefiting Artists Striving to End Poverty (ASTEP). Inspired By Love featured selections from composer Brett Macias's musicals Gumbo, Beautiful Dreamer, and Beneath the Surface as well as a world premiere song cycle based on the love sonnets of Pablo Neruda. FX Sets Summer Premiere Dates for TYRANT, WILFRED, THE STRAIN & More

X and FXX Networks have locked in the summer premiere dates for new and returning original series, including the highly anticipated new original dramas Tyrant and The Strain, as well as new comedies Married and You're the Worst. Grant Gershon to Step Into Role of LA Master Chorale Artistic Director, June 1

The Los Angeles Master Chorale (LAMC) has announced that eminent Music Director Grant Gershon will continue his key leadership role at the choir's helm through the 2019-2020 season, which will be his 19th season with the chorus, with the new title of Artistic Director effective July 1, 2014, according to LAMC Chair David Gindler.
