Punchdrunk Launches Immersive Theatre In Care Homes With GREENHIVE GREEN

Internationally renowned theatre company Punchdrunk has announced a ground-breaking Artists Residencies in Care Homes programme. Supported by intergenerational arts specialists Magic Me, the company brings its signature immersive practice to Greenhive Green, an award-winning care home run by Anchor in Peckham, south London.

Parrot in the Tank Announces BLACK DOG GOLD FISH

Inspired by writer and director Sam Bailey's own personal history, and created by Parrot in the Tank in collaboration with Barrel Organ's Joe Boylan, Gaulier graduate Andrea Foa and actor and filmmaker Kyle Shephard, BLACK DOG GOLD FISH explores the repercussions of clinical depression on day to day life, spinning the story of one troubled aquarium employee as he tries to liberate the captive fish back into the sea. In spite of his best efforts he accidentally punches one of the fish to death and is thrown face to face with his own Black Dog; a goldfish with a silver tongue.

Full Cast Announced for A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM at the Lyric Hammersmith

Full casting has been announced for the Lyric Hammersmith and Filter Theatre Production of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, co-directed by Sean Holmes and Stef O'Driscoll. Jonathan Broadbent, Ed Gaughan, John Lightbody, Victoria Moseley and Ferdy Roberts return to the cast and they will be joined by Hammed Animashaun, Andrew Buckley, Clare Dunne and Cat Simmons.

THIS WILL END BADLY Makes London Premiere at Southwark Playhouse Tonight

Following a critically acclaimed sell-out run at Pleasance Edinburgh this August, Anna Haigh Productions' THIS WILL END BADLY transfers to Southwark Playhouse for its London premiere for four weeks this January 2016. The production is written by Rob Hayes (Awkward Conversations with Animals I've F*cked) and directed by Clive Judd (Little Malcolm and his Struggle Against the Eunuchs, Captain Amazing). It stars Ben Whybrow (Punchdrunk's The Drowned Man, RSC).

Full Cast Announced for HERONS at Lyric Hammersmith

The Lyric Hammersmith today announces full casting for Herons. Sophia Decaro and Max Gill return to the Lyric stage to play Adele and Billy having both starred in Bugsy Malone as Tallulah and Fat Sam in 2015. Ed Gaughan will play the role of Charlie Russell and Sophie Stone will play Michelle Russell. They will be joined by Billy Matthews, Ella McLoughlin and Moses Adejimi.

Goodspeed Sets Starry Group of Writing Teams for 2016 Mercer Writers Colony

In what has become an annual ritual, a total of 36 established and emerging composers, lyricists, and librettists will converge on the Goodspeed campus from mid-January through mid-February 2016 to participate in the Johnny Mercer Foundation Writers Colony at Goodspeed Musicals. The writing teams, representing 19 new musicals, will populate the campus, creating a truly exciting environment for discovery and inspiration. Aurora Theatre Company presents the Bay Area Premiere of Pulitzer Prize finalist (Freedomland) Amy Freed's THE MONSTER-BUILDER. Art Manke, who directed the World Premiere of THE MONSTER-BUILDER at Portland's Artists Repertory Theatre in 2014, makes his Aurora directing debut with this viciously funny comedy featuring Danny Scheie (The Mystery of Irma Vep), Rod Knapp (The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity), Nancy Carlin (Hysteria), Thomas Gorrebeeck (The Eccentricities of a Nightingale), Tracy Hazas, and Sierra Jolene. THE MONSTER-BUILDER plays November 6 through December 6 at the Aurora Theatre in Berkeley. For tickets ($32-60) and information the public can call (510) 843-4822 or visit auroratheatre.org.

The Old Vic presents Bertie Carvel in Richard Jones' new production of THE HAIRY APE, the second production in Matthew Warchus' opening season as Artistic Director. THE HAIRY APE opens on 29 October, with previews from tonight 17 October, and will see The Old Vic theatre transformed back to its original proscenium arch layout.
