Opening on Broadway on October 13, 1962, and starring Uta Hagen and Arthur Hill, the original productions received both critical acclaim and public scorn for its confrontational characters, bitter philosophy on love, and realistic quality on an aging couple with a dark past.

Youth Theater will present NEW YORK, NEW YEAR A New Musical, from April 29 - May 21, 2017.  Based on the original concept by GARY BAGLEY, NEW YORK, NEW YEAR has book by CHRISTINA FRANKLIN, music by MICHAEL MULDER & lyrics by GARY BAGLEY, with additional lyrics by MATTHEW GREGORY.

The Guthrie Theater today announced the final two of nine productions to be offered as part of the theater's 2017-2018 subscription season: Indecent, a new play with music by Pulitzer Prize-winner Paula Vogel (How I Learned to Drive), conceived by Vogel and Rebecca Taichman; and the Guthrie's first production of the iconic American musical West Side Story, directed by Joseph Haj.

Not-for-profit History Matters/Back to the Future has announced the winner of their prestigious annual Judith Barlow Prize - Kara Jobe - an Ohio-based student, currently at Otterbein University who wrote a one-act play inspired by Lillian Hellman's The Children's Hour.
