Project Springboard Announces Winners of Second Annual Residency Awards

Mara Isaacs, Director of Project Springboard: Developing Dance Musicals, today announced the recipients of the second annual residency awards: Bhangin' It, led by Rehana Mirza (co-book writer), Mike Lew (co-book writer), Sam Wilmott (composer/lyricist), Rujuta Vaidya (choreographer), and Amy Anders Corcoran (director); and The Night Falls, led by Troy Schumacher (director/choreographer, New York City Ballet soloist), Ellis Ludwig-Leone (composer/co-lyricist), and Karen Russell (book writer/co-lyricist, MacArthur Award winner and Pulitzer finalist). Both projects will be in residence June 4-22, 2018 in New York City.
Hugh Jackman and Sonia Friedman Make Time's List of 100 Most Influential People

TIME has just revealed the 2018 TIME 100, its annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world. The issue has six worldwide covers, each highlighting a member of the TIME 100: Jennifer Lopez, Nicole Kidman, Roger Federer, Tarana Burke, Satya Nadella, and Tiffany Haddish.
Also included in this year's list are stage and screen star Hugh Jackman and Broadway/West End producer Sonia Friedman.
BOLLYWOOD BOULEVARD Comes To New Jersey Performing Arts Center

Bollywood Boulevard: A Journey Through Hindi Cinema, created by MELA Productions in association with Aaditaal Music Project, attracted over 4,000 patrons for its premiere at Lincoln Center 'Out of Doors' series in the summer of 2017. The show now comes to the New Jersey Performing Arts Center for two performances only on February 24th.

The ABC Television Network has announced midseason premiere dates for the new dramas The Crossing, Deception, For The People and the Grey's Anatomy spinoff, as well as new comedies Alex, Inc. and Splitting Up Together. Additionally, American Idol will air Sundays and Mondays, beginning March 11. Dates have also been set for the premiere of Dancing with the Stars All-Athletes Edition and the return of Quantico.

India Kaleidoscope Film Festival Returns with Premieres Of 8 New Films

After a successful launch in 2016, Museum of the Moving Image and The India Center Foundation present the second annual India Kaleidoscope Film Festival (IKFF), to take place from November 9 through 12, 2017. India Kaleidoscope is a new festival that will present film lovers with a chance to immerse themselves in the unique sights and sounds that make up the Indian regional, independent film landscape. These films, which explore the most relevant and pressing topics facing the subcontinent, are being made by today's most progressive filmmakers working in regional languages. This year, India Kaleidoscope will span seven different regional Indian languages and include new programming initiatives that bring independent regional Indian cinema to an even wider audience.
