Elvis Presley Hits to Movie Theaters Worldwide with Special 50th Anniversary Screening of Iconic 68 Comeback Special

Elvis Presley's legendary "'68 Comeback Special," directed and produced by Steve Binder, will hit the big screen this summer in celebration of its 50th anniversary. The two-day cinema event will take place across the globe on August 16, with an encore screening on August 20. Each screening will include the legendary television special, plus an exclusive look at the making of the special, featuring a walkthrough of the NBC soundstage with insights from Binder and others influenced by Presley, his music, and this iconic event. This brand new content is produced by Spencer Proffer, CEO of Meteor 17, and ABG's Marc Rosen, SVP of Entertainment.

ELF, the hit West End and Broadway musical based on the Hollywood blockbuster movie starring Will Ferrell, is to be supersized into a Christmas spectacular which will tour the UK in December 2018. This extravaganza will play three major arenas this Christmas: Cardiff Motorpoint Arena, Birmingham Genting Arena and Nottingham Motorpoint Arena. Tickets go on-sale on Friday 9 March at 9am.

Right Angle Entertainment announced today the hiring of Jim Lanahan as Vice President. He will be based in the Los Angeles offices handling touring show general management, marketing and operations for the company. He joins Right Angle Entertainment with a long history of working with Broadway and the road's biggest producers and productions including Disney Theatrical Productions, Really Useful Group and Blue Man Productions. Additionally, John Poland and Elissa E. Szieff have joined the executive team as Director of Touring, and Chief Financial Officer, respectively. Poland will be in charge of tour coordination and Szieff will handle all company business management and accounting. Carla Marie Rugg continues on as Associate Producer, and Cliff Kellas remains in his role as General Manager.

With a regal violet gown covered in jewels for days and a mile-high bouffant that would leave Priscilla Presley gagging, Latrice Royale ambled up to the stage of the Laurie Beechman Theatre. When her hair, teased to the gods, soon brushed against the ceiling, she said, with a cackle, "My hair's too high, and I'm not."
But, as the title of the show says, LIFE GOES ON, and so did Royale.

Priscilla Presley will kick off the grand opening celebration of the $45 million, 200,000 square-foot state-of-the-art entertainment & museum complex featuring the largest and most comprehensive Elvis exhibit in the world, an all-new Automobile Museum named Presley Motors, a 20,000-square-foot "Graceland Soundstage" multipurpose performance and meeting space, pop culture exhibits including Mystery Train: The Sam Phillips Exhibit and The Country Road to Rock Exhibit, a 1950s inspired diner and Memphis Bar-B-Q restaurant along with retail stores. The complex is Graceland's most significant expansion since first opening to the public in 1982. The opening four days will feature movies in the soundstage and LIVE Memphis music throughout the complex celebrating Elvis' life and career while honoring Memphis' rich musical legacy across genres.
