'I know I'm who I am today, because I knew you...' This words by the late Kevin Gray come back to him as 150 Broadway colleagues join their voices in song and music as a loving tribute to an artist/teacher and friend who who never knew how loved he was.

THE PRINCE OF BROADWAY is onstage at last!

Umeda Arts Theater just announced the cast and creative team for the World Premiere of Prince of Broadway, a new musical celebrating the extraordinary six decade Broadway career of producer-director Harold Prince.  The production will play from October 23-November 22, 2015 at Tokyu Theatre Orb in Tokyo, Japan and November 28-December 10, 2015 at Umeda Arts Theater, Main Hall, in Osaka, Japan.

The Broadway at Birdland concert series was proud to present singer Nicolas King in concert on Sunday, June 14. Nicolas performed 'Shakin' the Blues Away!' - a collection of 'feel good' songs from the worlds of Jazz, Pop and Broadway. The show was under the baton of musical director Mike Renzi and his trio, Ray Marchica on drums and Tom Hubbard on bass. BroadwayWorld has photos from the concert below!

The original Broadway version of Kander and Ebb's Tony-nominated musical THE VISIT closes today, June 14, 2015. The Visit began performances at the Lyceum Theatre (149 West 45th Street) on Thursday, March 26 and officially opened on Thursday, April 23. 'Phone rings, door chimes, in comes company.' This is how the title song from Stephen Sondheim and George Furth's musical, COMPANY, begins. This musical is about marriage and commitment, and it is set in New York City. COMPANY is considered one of the more challenging musicals for the cast, crew and orchestra, but if it is done well it provides for a highly enjoyable evening of theatrical entertainment. Bucks County Playhouse produces an entertaining production of COMPANY, with a strong cast.

The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra will begin its summer series at Riverbend Music Center's Corbett Pavilion tonight, June 6 at 8 p.m. with a special 'Broadway Sing-Along' featuring classic Broadway hits and inviting the audience to sing along.

?The celebrated Brooklyn theatre company, Smith Street Stage, will return to Carroll Park to present its annual outdoor production of a play by William Shakespeare.  This summer's production will be Henry IV, Part One and Part Two, playing from June 30 through July 19. Admission is free. No tickets are required.

The Muny announced today the cast for its production of Oklahoma! (August 10 -16) directed by Rob Ruggiero, choreographed by Susan Stroman and music directed by Kevin Stites. Ginger Thatcher will restage Ms. Stroman's choreography.

Steve Guttenberg, known for his roles in 'Police Academy,' 'Cocoon' and 'Three Men and a Baby,' as well as the recent Broadway one-act play by Woody Allen, Honeymoon Hotel, will be guest starring in Hudson Warehouse's production of HENRY 4.1. Mr. Guttenberg will make his Shakespearean debut as Earl of Northumberland in The Warehouse's production at The Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument, in the heart of Riverside Park this month.

A panel of nationally recognized judges, including Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Award-winner, Rita Moreno; choreographer and Broadway dancer Michael Balderrama; director Michael Donovan; and producer, director and choreographer Andy Ferrara, announced the 2015 winners of The Rita Moreno California High School Musical Honors - formerly called The California High School Musical Honors - at San Jose's Center for the Performing Arts. Sponsored by Children's Musical Theater San Jose and Broadway San Jose, a Nederlander Presentation, this yearly regional awards competition recognizes outstanding achievement in high school musical theatre in the greater California region.
