Styx comes to NJPAC on Sept. 22.

 Pittsburgh Opera announces its 2016-2017 season. The season includes the very first world premiere in our 78 year history and two Pennsylvania premieres. The season will encompass four operas produced at the Benedum Center and two Resident Artist operas - the annual production at Pittsburgh CAPA Theater and the Second Stage Project at Pittsburgh Opera Headquarters.

On September 23, 2016 a diverse lineup of artists join celebrated Man Booker Prize-winning author Ian McEwan when he brings his new novel Nutshell to life at Harbourfront Centre Theatre.

Black Moon Theatre Company presents BLISS, based on the Tibetan Book of the Dead, with performances on September 8-25.

The opening program for this year's Mostly Mozart Festival—the 50th--at David Geffen Hall may not have offered any new insights into the mind of the genius composer or uncovered any long-lost masterpiece not heard in 200 years. On the other hand, it was filled with wonderful music, inspired singing and total bliss for the audience, in a program that flew by, all in the name of Mozart.

Rock of Ages runs July 29 through Aug. 7. Evening performances are July 29, 30 - 31 and Aug. 3-6 at 7:30 and Matinees are July 31 and Aug. 3 and 7 at 2:00pm.

The Carnegie patrons can expect 'Nothin' But a Good Time' with the 2016-17 Theatre Season opener, ROCK OF AGES. The classic boy meets girl tale features classic 80s hair band hits and runs weekends August 13-28, 2016.

Circa's groundbreaking new work, IL RITORNO, fusing its world famous stripped-back acrobatics with baroque opera, will be performed at Arts Centre Melbourne's Playhouse from 17-20 August. Over 75 taut minutes, it retells Claudio Monteverdi's Il Ritorno D'Ulisse in Patria, intermingling it with folk songs and new compositions and percolating it through the lens of Primo Levi's post WW2 European displacement.

Noi di BWW vorremmo approfittarne per fare un rapido excursus delle opere in gara, accompagnate dalle nostre impressioni che per ovvi motivi possiamo pubblicare solo ora.

Finalmente, dopo mesi di trepidante attesa, martedi scorso, 19 aprile, a Milano, si sono svolte le premiazioni della Terza Edizione di PrIMO, il Premio Italiano del Musical Originale.

Frank Zappa's 3-CD Lumpy Money Project/Object set and his 2-CD Road Tapes, Venue #1 and Road Tapes, Venue #2performance albums will be reissued, and Road Tapes, Venue #3 will debut on May 27 from Zappa Records/UMe. All four titles will be available on CD and digitally.
