Haven Theatre Company presents WE'RE GONNA DIE

 Haven Theatre Company announces We're Gonne Die, the final production in its fourth season, written by Young Jean Lee and directed by Josh Sobel, at the company's home, The Janet Bookspan Theatre at the Den Theatre,1335 Milwaukee Ave., May 4 - June 18. Previews are Thursday, May 4 - Saturday, May 6 at 8 p.m. Opening night is Sunday, May 7 at 7 p.m. The regular performance schedule is Thursdays - Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. Previews are Pay-What-You-Can, and regular run tickets are $18. Columbia Stages presents William Shakespeare's MACBETH

Columbia Stages presents Macbeth. Coming off the critically acclaimed and sold-out production of The Great Divide at the Finborough Theatre in London, British director Rory McGregor (Columbia MFA Directing Candidate 2017) directs Macbeth in New York City as part of the Columbia Stages season. This production of Macbeth is a theatrical exploration of society's problematic relationship with celebrity.

Sergio Trujillo Brings Underground World of Buenos Aires to A.R.T. in ARRABAL

Current Harbor & The Tank presents THE WHALEPHANT

The Whalephant intertwines the story of two Massachusetts men, past and present: Moses Spouter, a famed and possibly unhinged Nantucket whaling captain; and his great-great grandson, Abe Spouter, day-drunk and proud and generally pissed, who captains a whale-watching boat off the coast of Cape Cod.  It's a play about history and family, cetaceans and shanties, and the search for self at sea. Presented by Current Harbor and The Tank. Written by Kartik Naram, Directed by Jamie Watkins, and Choreographed by Annalisa Ledson. GENTLY DOWN THE STREAM, Starring Harvey Fierstein, Extends at The Public Theater

The Public Theater announced today a one-week extension for the world premiere of GENTLY DOWN THE STREAM, written by Martin Sherman and directed by Sean Mathias. The show officially opened on Wednesday, April 5, and was previously extended through Sunday, May 14. It will now run an additional week through Sunday, May 21.
