CVRep Presents WHITE!

Set to open at the Atrium in Rancho Mirage on January 23 and run through February 17, 2019, White is a funny, 90-minute play that draws on both life and art to examine issues of racism, sexism, gender and identity - a perfect fit for CVRep's 2018/19 seasonal theme of 'a handful of isms.'

Rainy Day Productions Holds Industry Readings Of CHASING THE RIVER

Rainy Day Productions will present industry readings of the new play Chasing the River by Jean Dobie Giebel. Directed by Illana Stein, the six-member cast will feature Tony Carlin, Aaron Costa Ganis, Annie Golden, Deborah Rayne, Chet Siegel, and Wendy Rich Stetson. Town Hall Theatre Presents California Premiere Of BROOKLYN BRIDGE

Next up in Town Hall Theatre 2018/19 "Lost & Found" Season is the California Premiere of Melissa James Gibson's BROOKLYN BRIDGE, a play full of heart and humor for the whole family.  BROOKLYN BRIDGE will have 12 performances, including two previews, February 28 through March 23, 2019, at Town Hall Theatre Company, 3535 School Street, in Lafayette, CA.  Tickets are $18 - $30, and are available through the Box Office at (925) 283-1557 or online at www.TownHallTheatre.com. 

Rivendell Theatre Ensemble Presents the Midwest Premiere of I WANNA F#!&ING TEAR YOU APART 

Rivendell Theatre Ensemble (RTE), Chicago's only Equity theatre dedicated to producing new work with women at the core, presents the Midwest premiere of I Wanna F#!&ing Tear You Apart by Morgan Gould and directed by Jessica Fisch. I Wanna F#!&ing Tear You Apart runs February 15 - March 23, 2019 at Rivendell Theatre Ensemble, 5779 N. Ridge Avenue in Chicago.  The press opening is Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 7:00pm.

Full Cast Announced For The UK Premiere Of Martin Sherman's GENTLY DOWN THE STREAM

Robert Fox and Alex Turner, in association with Park Theatre and King's Head Theatre, today announce the full cast for the UK premiere of Martin Sherman's new play Gently Down The Stream, following a critically acclaimed run at the Public Theater in New York. Sean Mathias directs Jonathan Hyde, Ben Allen and Harry Lawtey. The production opens at Park Theatre on 18 February 2019, with previews from 13 February, running until 16 March.

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley will kick off the new year with the Tony and Olivier Award nominated drama Frost/Nixon. Written by Golden Globe winner Peter Morgan (creator of Netflix's The Crown), Frost/Nixon is a riveting political prizefight where the cameras roll, the truth spins, and it becomes clear that he who controls the medium controls the message. With America caught in the riptides of Watergate and Vietnam, the former leader of the free world and a lightweight British talk-show host clash in a legendary series of TV interviews that will determine the President's legacy forever. Directed by Leslie Martinson, Frost/Nixon will be presented January 16 - February 10, 2019 (press opening: January 19, 2019) at Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts, 500 Castro Street, Mountain View. Studio Theatre Announces Studio R&D Commissioned Playwrights & Directors

Building on 40 years of producing powerful contemporary theatre, Studio Theatre is pleased to announce a new class of commissioned playwrights and directors to Studio R&D, its incubator to support the creation of new work from inception to first production. Incoming Studio R&D artists are playwrights James Fritz, James Ijames, Steph Del Rosso, and Emily Schwend, as well as directors Carl Cofield, Lila Neugebauer, and Eric Ruffin. These exciting talents from the US and UK will have Studio's full support in creating aesthetically diverse new work to be presented in future seasons and introduced into the international repertoire. As they create Studio-specific works, commissioned artists will visit Studio to get to know its theatres, programming, and audiences in person.

McCarter Announces 2019 LAB Spotlight New Play Festival

Palm Beach Dramaworks Presents THE SPITFIRE GRILL

The Spitfire Grill, a warm and uplifting show by James Valcq (book and music) and Fred Alley (book and lyrics) about starting over and second chances, forgiveness and redemption, becomes the first musical to be produced by Palm Beach Dramaworks as part of its subscription season. This internationally beloved work opens on February 1 and runs through February 24, with specially priced previews on January 30 and 31. Bruce Linser directs.

Patricia Kalember To Play Gloria Steinem In GLORIA: A LIFE

Tony Award-winning producer Daryl Roth (Kinky Boots, The Normal Heart, Indecent) announced today that Patricia Kalember ("Power," "Sisters," "thirtysomething") will put on the aviator glasses of iconic activist Gloria Steinem in GLORIA: A Life beginning Tuesday, January 29. Christine Lahti will play her final performance as Gloria on January 27.

Cast and Creative Team Announced for World Premiere of ECO VILLAGE

The world premiere of the new off-Broadway play Eco Village has found its cast and design team. Loosely based on the experiences of playwrightPhoebe Nir at the Bread and Puppet Theater, Eco Village explores the complexities of community and the boundaries of human behavior. The show will play at The Theatre at St. Clement's, 423 W. 46th Street, New York, NY 10036 from January 15-February 16 2019. Eco Village will preview from January 15-21, with opening night on January 24. Performances: Monday and Wednesday at 7pm; Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8pm; and Saturday and Sunday at 3pm. Tickets are $35-69 and can be purchased at ecovillagetheplay.com.
