BWW Reviews: ROSEMARY CLOONEY is Back!

Playhouse in the Park brings the 'Girl Singer' home this holiday season with Tenderly: The Rosemary Clooney Musical. The show takes the audience on a journey from 'Rosie's' childhood to fame, to mental breakdown, to her comeback career; all through therapy sessions during which we are regaled with some of her most well known songs.

Ensemble Theatre's SLEEPING BEAUTY Begins Today

Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati (ETC) presents the return of one of its most cherished family-friendly holiday musicals Sleeping Beauty, by local playwright Joseph McDonough with music and lyrics by David Kisor, playing today, December 3, 2014 through January 4, 2015. In the tradition of ETC's 'fractured fairytale' holiday productions, Sleeping Beauty is a modern spin on the classic tale by Charles Perrault. This revamped production features a magical set design, an updated musical score and story, enchanting comedy, and a blooming twist on the meaning of love. Directed by D. Lynn Meyers. Premiere Sponsor is Macy's.

Cincinnati Playhouse Adds Reading of NOT ABOUT HEROES, 3/24

The Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park will present a reading of Stephen MacDonald's drama about the real-life friendship of two World War I soldier poets, NOT ABOUT HEROES, at 7 p.m. Monday, March 24. The reading is being offered in collaboration with the Cincinnati Remembers World War I series, the Cincinnati Opera's citywide series of events in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the onset of World War I.

Will Chase & Betsy Wolfe to Star in Cincinnati Pops' 'MUSIC MAN' Staged Concert in May 2015

The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra and Conductor John Morris Russell announced the Pops' 2014-15 season today. The season, presented by PNC along with the Pops Artist Series Sponsor, The Otto M. Budig Family Foundation, welcomes back some of the Orchestra's favorite guest artists while exploring new artistic genres and collaborations - including a semi-staged concert of THE MUSIC MAN, starring Will Chase and Betsy Wolfe, set for May 1-3, 2015.
