The Toronto International Film Festival® today announced the jury for Platform, the programme that champions directors' cinema from around the world.

It was announced today that The 41st edition of the Toronto International Film Festival will open with THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN.

TIFF announced today that Canadian actor Taylor Kitsch will be featured in a special "In Conversation With…" event hosted by Cameron Bailey, Artistic Director of the Toronto International Film Festival, on July 30 in Los Angeles. This event is part of the international tour of TIFF's Canada's Top Ten Film Festival, and is presented in partnership with Film Independent at LACMA. Established by TIFF in 2001, the Canada's Top Ten Film Festival celebrates and promotes contemporary Canadian cinema and raises awareness of Canadian achievements in film.

Piers Handling, Director & CEO of TIFF, tonight announced special programming taking place during the 2015 summer and fall seasons in celebration of the organization's 40th anniversary. The announcements were made at a free community party held in David Pecaut Square in downtown Toronto, prior to this season's first TIFF in the Park event, a screening of the 1992 Toronto International Film Festival People's Choice Award-winner Strictly Ballroom.

To celebrate the The Big Chill's 30th anniversary, TIFF is hosting a reunion of its own for the cast and crew as part of this year's Toronto International Film Festival.

The Toronto International Film Festival today announced additional details for the TIFF Asian Film Summit, including an international guest list of notable industry experts and specialists as well as programming that explores the relationship between East and West.
