The 21st Annual GYPSY OF THE YEAR COMPETITION announced an all time record total of $4,630,695 had been raised by the 60 participating Broadway, Off-Broadway, and National Tour companies to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. This year's total breaks the previous record when $3,927,000 was raised for the 2007 GYPSY OF THE YEAR COMPETITION.

Fifty-six Broadway stars, running the gamut from Jude Law to Julie Harris, have created one-of-a-kind Lend-a-Hand artworks that are now being auctioned on eBay in the Bid 2 Beat AIDS auction, benefiting LIFEbeat.

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS presented the 21st Annual GYPSY OF THE YEAR COMPETITION over a two day event yesterday, December 7 and today, December 8 at the Palace Theatre on Broadway. The proceeds from the event benefit BC/EFA. This year's event raised more than $4,639,000 dollars. And the winners are in!

They're Back! The popular 'Friends with Benefits' cabaret series returns to The Metropolitan Room (34 West 22nd Street) on Monday December 14th at 9:30 PM with 'The All Star Jamboree' featuring performances by cast members from WICKED, MAMMA MIA, MARY POPPINS, AVENUE Q.

On Monday, December 14th, Ann Harada will resurrect her character 'Christmas Eve' from the Tony Award-winning musical Avenue Q for a one night only holiday cabaret entitled Christmas Eve With Christmas Eve. The evening will take place at The Jerome L. Greene Performance Space @ WNYC (44 Charlton Street at Varick) with all proceeds benefiting Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS.

ABC and SOAPNet will present their annual 'Salute Broadway Cares' benefit on March 21, 2010. The benefit will support Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids and will take place at Town Hall in Manhattan.

The New York Philharmonic will present SONDHEIM: The Birthday Concert on March 15 and Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at 7:30 p.m. This celebration of the 80th birthday of the great Broadway and film composer/lyricist will include his most enduring orchestral music and songs - performed, in some cases, by the stars of the original Broadway cast productions - in addition to rarely-heard material. Joining the celebration will be (in alphabetical order) Michael Cerveris, Victoria Clark, Jason Danieley, Nathan Gunn, George Hearn, Patti LuPone, Marin Mazzie, Audra McDonald, Donna Murphy, Mandy Patinkin, Bernadette Peters, and others to be announced, including surprise guests. Paul Gemignani, Mr. Sondheim's longtime collaborator, will conduct the New York Philharmonic; Lonny Price is the director; and Mr. Price and Matt Cowart are the producers.

'Bernadette Peters: A Special Concert for Broadway Barks Because Broadway Cares' was an astounding success raising $615,000 to benefit Broadway Barks and Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS. Tony, Grammy and Golden Globe Award winning actress, and long-time BC/EFA friend and Trustee Bernadette Peters performed the special one night only concert last night at Broadway's Minskoff Theatre, produced by BC/EFA.
