The 23rd Annual Broadway Flea Market & Grand Auction held yesterday Sunday, September 27 raised a grand total of $403,929 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA). Since its debut in 1987, which then raised $12,000, the 23 editions of The Broadway Flea Market & Grand Auction have raised a grand total of $8,161,752 for BC/EFA. Birdland presented the legendary jazz singer Marilyn Maye in 'Something Cool' for two shows only, Tuesday, July 28 at 8:30 & 11pm. The event was Maye's debut at the historic music room.

The Broadway production of WICKED will perform an additional performance on Sunday, June 28th at 8pm to benefit The Actors Fund. All of the actors' salaries and all of ticket sales will be donated to The Actors Fund benefiting people in film, theater, television, music, opera, and dance.

The first BROADWAY BARES in 1992 featured seven dancers stripping on a bar and raised over $8,000. Since then, the 19 editions of BROADWAY BARES have collectively raised over $6.5 million to benefit BC/EFA. BROADWAY BARES 19.0: 'CLICK IT!' was produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, created and executive produced by Tony Award-winner Jerry Mitchell (Catch Me If You Can, Legally Blonde, Peepshow in Las Vegas), and was conceived and directed by Peter Gregus (Jersey Boys).
