Last night at the inaugural BROADWAY BARES: SOLO STRIPS at Splash, it was announced that a $1 million fundraising goal has been set for the 20th edition of BROADWAY BARES.

Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA) and The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center (The Center) will present BROADWAY BACKWARDS 5, a one night only event, on Monday, February 22 at 8 PM at the Vivian Beaumont Theater at Lincoln Center. Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS and Jerry Mitchell announce BROADWAY BARES: SOLO STRIPS, a new event featuring seven of the hottest men currently on and off Broadway. BROADWAY BARES: SOLO STRIPS will be held Sunday, January 31 at Splash (50 West 17th Street). There will be performances at 8 PM and 11 PM and a $10 admission will be accepted at the door.

Tony Award-winning composer Jason Robert Brown (Parade, 13, Songs for a New World) will join 2009 Ovation Award nominees Michael K. Lee and Jennifer Paz in this one-night-only performance of his critically-acclaimed off-Broadway gem The Last 5 Years on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 8pm at the David Henry Hwang Theater (home of East West Players) in downtown Los Angeles.

Today, December 29, Charmin teamed up with non-profit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS to present 'Bathrooms over Broadway,' the first-ever Broadway show in a bathroom. The 10-15 minute 'cheeky' musical production took place, free-of-charge, before a live audience at the Charmin Restrooms featuring the theatrics of several well-known Broadway stars, including 'Shrek the Musical's' Christopher Sieber.

For tourists, local New Yorkers and avid lovers-of-the-arts alike, the best 'seats' on Broadway this holiday season are in the Charmin Restrooms. The 21st Annual GYPSY OF THE YEAR COMPETITION announced an all time record total of $4,630,695 had been raised by the 60 participating Broadway, Off-Broadway, and National Tour companies to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. This year's total breaks the previous record when $3,927,000 was raised for the 2007 GYPSY OF THE YEAR COMPETITION.
