Today, November 18, the 64th Evening Standard Awards were presented in London.

Annapurna Theatre will soon present the New York debut of the DryWrite and Soho Theatre production of FLEABAG. FLEABAG is written and performed by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, making her New York stage debut, and directed by Phoebe Waller-Bridge's long-time collaborator Vicky Jones. The play will begin previews on February 28 2019 with an opening night set for March 7, 2019 at SoHo Playhouse (15 Vandam St.). This is a strictly limited five-week engagement through Sunday, April 7, 2019.

The shortlist for the 64th Evening Standard Theatre Awards is unveiled today. It has been expanded to include five names in most categories and the variety of productions reveals the health of London's theatre land.

Kate Dennis will direct and executive produce HBO's romantic comedy thriller pilot, 'Run,' according to Deadline. The pilot is from 'Killing Eve' creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Vicky Jones, and eOne.

The Independent Filmmaker Project (IFP), the nation's premier member organization of independent storytellers, announced today the nominees for the 28th Annual IFP Gotham Awards. Ten competitive awards will be presented to independent features and series. In addition to the competitive awards, Gotham Tributes will be given to actors Rachel Weisz and Willem Dafoe, director Paul Greengrass, and the Gotham Industry Tribute to Jon Kamen.

BBC has acquired the second series of the critically acclaimed female-led spy thriller Killing Eve. Series one made its debut on BBC One and as a boxset on BBC Three on BBC iPlayer last month and has become a massive hit with audiences - there have been over 26 million requests for the series so far.

I started writing Pickle Jar as a sort of experiment. I had done bits and bobs of writing with other people and within a comedy group, but I wanted to finish a piece of writing on my own and I wanted to see if I enjoyed it.

BBC AMERICA's Doctor Who is blazing a global trail to match Jodie Whittaker's revolutionary first season as the Doctor. The network's US premiere will start at the same time as the UK debut on-air on Sunday, October 7th (time to be announced), followed by a special encore in its new regular primetime evening slot. For the run of the season, Doctor Who will premiere regularly on BBC AMERICA on its new marquee night on Sundays.

BBC AMERICA and WOMEN'S MEDIA CENTER have entered into a strategic alliance, with the goal of expanding both the diversity and representation of women in media. In the coming months, BBC AMERICA and WOMEN'S MEDIA CENTER will partner on initiatives to enrich, engage, and enlighten through proprietary analysis and content alliances as a way to spark change. The first partnership is a research study that will look at how depictions of women on screen impact young women and girls, with findings to be published later this year.

BBC AMERICA announced today three new additions to the cast of its buzzy, hit drama Killing Eve which returns for the second season in Spring 2019.  Nina Sosanya (Good Omens) and Edward Bluemel (A Discovery of Witches) join series stars Sandra Oh (Grey's Anatomy), Jodie Comer (The White Princess) and Fiona Shaw (Harry Potter).  Julian Barratt (Mindhorn) will guest star. The series, produced by Sid Gentle Films Ltd and based on the Codename Villanelle novellas by Luke Jennings, is currently shooting in Europe.
