Imagination Stage to Present Roald Dahl Shows in Repertory, 4/3-5/26

James and the Giant Peach, the beloved and well-read Roald Dahl story returns to Imagination Stage and teams up with the world premiere of The Magic Finger, one of Dahl's lesser known stories. Both shows, performed on the same stage and using the same set and cast, will create an exciting, hilarious, and Dahl-icious spring repertory at Imagination Stage.

Photo Flash: First Look at ANIME MOMOTARO at Imagination Stage

Anime Momotaro is a staging of a famous Japanese folktale that teaches powerful lessons about inner strength and the ability to stand up against bullying. Created and premiered by the Honolulu Theatre for Youth, Imagination Stage is bringing Eric Johnson (adaptor/director) and Alvin Chan (adaptor/choreographer) from Hawaii to develop an expanded version for Imagination Stage audiences. Imagination Stage Announces 2012-13 Season: Roald Dahl in Rep and More

Dancing birds. Flying peaches. Magical pixie dust. Bullying ogres. Not so clever pirates. Imagination Stage, the region's leading theatre dedicated to children, will be flying high during its 2012-2013 season of professional theatre. The upcoming season features the world premiere of Roald Dahl's The Magic Finger, and the East Coast premiere of the action-packed Anime Momotaro.

A Theatre Lover's Guide to DC/Capital Area Theatres - July 2010 Offerings

Is there any better place to celebrate the Fourth of July than the Nation's Capital? If you're in town for the fireworks and concert on the Mall, consider popping into one of our local theatres. This month's MUST-SEES include The Capital Fringe Festival and Hip-Hop Festival, pirates, a high-flying nanny, a supreme trio, a boar with a flapjack, a crazy one-man Lord of the Rings, those loveable Tony Award-winning puppets, lots of plaid, a household of singing sisters, Stew's 'strange' score, and a concert version of a Rodgers and Hart classic musical.
