The New Group to Honor Ed Harris, Amy Madigan & Ellen Roth at Annual Gala

Off-Broadway's The New Group will honor Ed Harris & Amy Madigan and Ellen Roth at the company's Annual Gala on Monday, March 7 at Tribeca Rooftop (2 Desbrosses Street between Hudson & Greenwich). Hosted by Mario Cantone, the event will feature performances by Jerry Dixon and Nat and Alex Wolff, and an appearance by playwright Beth Henley, author of Crimes of the Heart and The Jacksonian. Music Director is Sinai Tabak. The evening, 6:00-10:00pm, includes cocktails, dinner, and silent and live auctions.

Theatre Y to Host 'An Impressive Presentation of Lovely Evidences' at Links Hall, 3/14

Theatre Y presents "An Impressive Presentation of Lovely Evidences: Underneath the Lintel" by Glen Berger, at Links Hall, 3111 N Western Avenue, on Monday, March 14, 2016, at 7pm. "Lovely Evidences," directed by Melissa Lorraine with Assistant Direction from Jordan Matthew Walsh, and featuring Darren Hill, previewed on September 18, 2015, and has been running weekly with "flash mob" performances around the city of Chicago. Alan Ayckbourn, Richard Bean, Philip Ridley & More Set for 2016 BRITS OFF BROADWAY at 59E59 Theaters

59E59 Theaters has announced the line-up for the this year's Brits Off Broadway festival, the critically acclaimed annual festival of New British Theater. Now in its 12th Season, the 2016 Brits Off Broadway festival kicks off on Tuesday, April 19 and runs through Sunday, July 3.  Single ticket prices range from $25 - $70 ($17.50 - $49 for 59E59 Members). HOUSE OF CARDS, MAD MEN Stars Round Out Cast of The New Group's BURIED CHILD

The New Group has announced full casting for the company's production of Sam Shepard's Buried Child. Directed by Scott Elliott, this production will feature Larry Pine (Casa Valentina), Rich Sommer ('Mad Men'), Paul Sparks ('House of Cards') and Nat Wolff (Paper Towns), and as previously announced, Taissa Farmiga, Ed Harris and Amy Madigan. Previews begin February 2 in advance of an Official Opening Night on Wednesday, February 17. A limited Off-Broadway engagement is slated through March 13 at The Pershing Square Signature Center (The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre, 480 West 42nd Street).

The New Group Extends Cynthia Nixon-Helmed STEVE

The New Group announces a one-week extension for its world premiere of Steve, a new play by Mark Gerrard, directed by Cynthia Nixon.  Due to demand, Steve will now play through Sunday, January 3 at The Pershing Square Signature Center (The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre, 480 West 42nd Street).  The production, which was originally set to play a limited Off-Broadway engagement through December 27, began previews November 3 and celebrated its Official Opening Night on November 18.

New Worlds Theatre Project to Stage World Premiere of Pinski's PROFESSOR BRENNER

New Worlds Theatre Project (Ellen Perecman, Producing Artistic Director) has announced that it will present the world premiere of David Pinski's comic tragedy, Professor Brenner, directed by Paul Takacs, in a translation by Ellen Perecman, beginning Sunday, November 1 at 2pm at HERE, 145 Sixth Avenue. The opening night is set for Monday, November 2 at 7pm.

The VH Theatrical Development Foundation announces that after an acclaimed Off-Broadway engagement last fall, FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE! (formerly titled THE BRIGHTNESS OF HEAVEN), a new play by best-selling author Laura Pedersen FROM BUFFALO, will open the 2015-2016 Frey Electric Construction Co.  Season at the 710 Main Theatre (formerly Studio Arena Theatre) in Buffalo, New York, with a limited engagement scheduled to play tonight, September 17 - Sunday, October 4, 2015.  Directed by Ludovica Villar-Hauser, FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE! is set in Buffalo, where Ms. Pedersen was born and raised.
