Two River Theater continues its 25th Anniversary Season with Michael Frayn's Noises Off, directed by Sarna Lapine.

George Street Playhouse (GSP) is now presenting Trying by Joanna McClelland Glass through April 8. Directed by Jim Jack, the show stars Philip Goodwin and Carly Zien. This is a two-hander like no other. Exquisitely written, creatively staged, and with superb acting, Trying makes a lasting impression. It is an outstanding, moving play that brings together history and humanity.

Internationally known Francis Biddle, Chief Judge of the Nuremberg trials, opponent of the Japanese internment camps during World War II, and Attorney General under President Franklin D. Roosevelt, is 81 years old, elegant, sharply cantankerous, and trying to put his life in order. When a young, new secretary is hired, the two struggle to communicate but come to understand how two strangers at very different places in their lives can unexpectedly and forever influence each other. Based on playwright Joanna McClelland Glass' real-life experience as Biddle's secretary.

Broadwayworld.com had the pleasure of interviewing Carly Zien who plays Sarah in 'Trying' at George Street Playhouse. She shared with us some interesting thoughts about her career and the upcoming show.

George Street Playhouse, located at 103 College Farm Road in New Brunswick, today announced the casting of Philip Goodwin (Broadway's The Diary of Anne Frank, The School for Scandal) and Carly Zien (Amazon's The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, POP TV's Nightcap) in Trying by Joanna McClelland Glass, on stage March 13 - April 8, 2018. The poignant drama will be directed by Jim Jack, who will be helming his second GSP mainstage production following the widely acclaimed 2016 production of My Name is Asher Lev.

David Ira Goldstein's production of Jeffrey Hatcher's HOLMES AND WATSON a masterfully crafted cliffhanger. The play is receiving its world premiere with Arizona Theatre Company.

Though his name is scarcely remembered on American shores, N.C. Hunter was one of the more popular English playwrights during the 1950s. His genteel dramas would feature such distinguished cast members as John Gielgud, Sybil Thorndike, Ingrid Bergman, Ralph Richardson, Vanessa Redgrave and Michael Redgrave, but his work fell out of favor with the rise of Britain's 'angry young men' playwrights.

Specialists in introducing contemporary audiences to worthy, but neglected plays, The Mint Theater Company's new production will probably be a first introduction for many of its audience members to the work of N.C. Hunter.

Two River Theater, under the leadership of Artistic Director John Dias and Managing Director Michael Hurst, announces the full cast and creative team for its production of Lives of Reason, a world premiere written by Robert Rechnitz and Kenneth Stunkel, directed by Jonathan Fox. Performances will begin in Two River's Marion Huber Theater, 21 Bridge Avenue, on Saturday, January 9 and continue through Sunday, February 7. Red Bull Theater today announced that their Twelfth Season will continue with Cyril Tourneur's The Atheist's Tragedy, directed by Ben Prusiner, with live music by Alexander Sovronsky. The cast features Jeremy Bobb, Johnny Lee Davenport, Jacob Fishel, Ryan Garbayo, Philip Goodwin, Miriam A.
