Conducted by CSO Associate Conductor Peter Stafford Wilson, the Columbus All-City Orchestra will present a free, public concert on Sunday, March 2, at Mees Auditorium, Capital University, at 7pm. Now in its seventh year, the orchestra's 49 members are selected from musicians in grades 9-12 attending Columbus City Schools. The program is tuition free for students and is funded by Safelite AutoGlass, The Martha Holden Jennings Foundation, The Paul Duke Foundation, and the Morris and Emma Woodhull Fund of The Columbus Foundation.
CSO Associate Conductor Peter Stafford Wilson and the musicians of the Columbus Symphony invite community musicians to rehearse 'Side by Side' in a professional setting with their classical music counterparts. Approximately 50 amateur musicians will have the opportunity to rehearse with the orchestra and conductor on the stage of the Ohio Theatre, sitting and playing next to a professional musician proficient in their chosen instrument.
The 2013-14 Columbus Symphony Youth Orchestra (CSYO), comprised of 97 students from 20 Ohio school districts, will showcase CSO violinist Alicia Hui in its concert at the Capitol Theatre on Sunday, October 6. Currently principal second violin for the Columbus Symphony, Hui will perform Scottish Fantasy by Max Bruch. CSO Associate Conductor Peter Stafford Wilson will conduct the program which also includes Beethoven's Overture to Creatures of Prometheus and Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition.

On Saturday, May 11, the Columbus Symphony, the Dubuque Symphony, and internationally renowned violinist Gil Shaham will perform a special concert for the grand opening of the University of Dubuque's new, state-of-the-art Heritage Center. The collaboration was initiated by Columbus residents Joe and Linda Chlapaty, graduates of Dubuque and major supporters of the $30 million, 80,000 square foot campus center for fine arts, performing arts, and worship. The evening's program includes Beethoven's Seventh Symphony conducted by DSO Music Director William Intriligator which will be followed by the Brahms Violin Concerto conducted by CSO resident Associate Conductor Peter Stafford Wilson and featuring guest violinist Gil Shaham.
In its final concert of the 2012-13 season, CSO Associate Conductor Peter Stafford Wilson will lead the Columbus Symphony Youth Orchestra (CSYO) in a performance of Gustov Holst's The Planets. The program will also feature trumpeter Liam Bacon, a senior at Linworth Alternative High School, in the Arutunian Trumpet Concerto.
The Columbus Symphony Youth Orchestra (CSYO) will showcase one of its own alumni in its concert at the Capitol Theatre on November 11. Violinist Siwoo Kim, who graduated from the CSYO program in 2008, will be featured on Brahms' Violin Concert in D Major. Hailing from Westerville, Kim graduated from Julliard in May 2012 with a Bachelor's Degree in music, and is continuing on at the prestigious school to pursue a Master's Degree. The concert program will also include Wagner's Overture to Die Meistersingers and Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 5 in D Major ("Reformation"). CSO Associate Conductor Peter Stafford Wilson will conduct.
The University of Dubuque has invited the Columbus Symphony and the Dubuque Symphony to perform a special concert together to celebrate the grand opening of the University's new state-of-the-art Performing Arts and Campus Center on Saturday, May 11, 2013. The collaboration was initiated by Joe and Linda Chlapaty, Dubuque graduates and Columbus residents who are major supporters of the 80,000 square foot, $30 million facility currently under construction.

Subscriptions are now on sale for the Columbus Symphony's 2012-13 Masterworks and Pops seasons. Masterworks will continue to present eight concerts at the Ohio Theatre and four concerts at the Southern Theatre. All Pops concerts will remain at the Ohio Theatre.
