Hal Prince, Tovah Feldshuh, et al. Set for 2011 Theatre Museum Awards, 5/16

Classic tunes from Fiddler on the Roof, Fiorello!, She Loves Me, The Apple Tree, and others will fill the air at New Yorks legendary National Arts Club on Monday May 16, 2011 as The Theatre Museum pays tribute to famed Broadway lyricist Sheldon Harnick -- its 2011 Career Achievement Award recipient.

NCTF Chairman's Awards Gala Honors Joel Grey, Charles Dillingham, 5/2

National Corporate Theatre Fund (NCTF) will hold its Annual Chairman's Awards Gala and benefit on Monday, May 2 at the St. Regis New York hotel (2 East 55th Street at Fifth Avenue). This year, NCTF Chairman James S Turley, Chairman and CEO of Ernst & Young, will honor Oscar and Tony Award-winner Joel Grey (on Broadway this season in Anything Goes and director of Broadway's The Normal Heart), Charles Dillingham (Managing Director, Center Theatre Group, Los Angeles) and BNY Mellon. Accepting the award on behalf of Corporate Honoree will be Gerald Hassell, President. All net proceeds of the event will be distributed as the NCTF/BNY MELLON FUND FOR NEW AMERICAN THEATRE.

Lisa Howard Set for Concert at the Birdland on 4/11

Lisa Howard, one of the stars of William Finn's The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, will perform a concert at Birdland on Monday, April 11 at 7pm. This event will be part of the Broadway at Birdland concert series, which showcases performers and composers from the Great White Way.

Andrew Lloyd Webber's Piers Morgan Interview Premieres April 9 on ITV1

On April 9, a special interview with musical legend Andrew Lloyd Webber will premiere on Piers Morgan's ‘Life Stories' on ITV1. Signature Theatre to Feature Works by Foster, Gwon, HAIRSPRAY & More in 2011-2012 Season

Arlington VA's Signature Theatre has announced that their 2011-2012 season will feature the world premiere of 5 new works that include two new musicals that will run in repertory as part of the American Musical Voices Project Repertory Series. The season will also feature some old favorites such as HAIRSPRAY and XANADU and the Washington area premiere of GOD OF CARNAGE.
