With the April 28th Tony Award eligibility deadline looming, there are seven big new shows to get excited about.

I first met Noah Racey when I was directing the 2004 Nightlife Awards at Town Hall in New York. He was performing with his co-star from Never Gonna Dance, Nancy Lemenager. If you've never seen him dance, you haven't lived. I got to chat a bit about his stay down here in DC. 

Peter Gallagher, who recently starred in Broadway's ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY, has joined the cast of NBC's adaptation of the 1990's film CRUEL INTENTIONS.

Comedy Series 'Togetherness,' from brothers Jay Duplass and Mark Duplass, will return for its second season tonight, Feb. 21, exclusively on HBO.

Just in. Jessica Phillips will return to Law & Order: SVU next Wednesday night, February 17, at 9pm in her recurring role as ADA Pippa Cox. On the episode, an undercover sting leads to the takedown of an online pedophile ring and the arrest of two high-profile suspects.

Public radio show and podcast PLAYING ON AIR, which features live recordings of short American plays, returns to BRIC House (647 Fulton Street in Downtown Brooklyn) on December 7 at 7:30pm with three shorts by David Auburn, Max Baker and Jessica Dickey, all recorded live. And the show just announced the addition of award-winning actor Peter Gallagher ('American Beauty,' TV's 'The O.C.') to its impressive roster of talent performing at their annual benefit for the organization.
