On May 28, 2021 Vocal Arts DC in collaboration with Avie Records will release The Journey Home: Live from the Kennedy Center. Inspired by the 100th anniversary of the end of WWI, the concert, which sold-out at the time, explores timeless themes of longing, loss, love, and the search for peace in the wake of catastrophe.
Kaufman Music Center Announces Week of Musical Action

Building on the success of the 2020 Day of Musical Action last June, Kaufman Music Center will hold a Week of Musical Action from March 14-18, 2021. More than 140 performers from the KMC community will come together during this multi-day music marathon to share music and support our programs. Sing for Hope yesterday presented a Veterans Day concert for residents of its partner nursing homes and township senior centers, which include hundreds of U.S. military veterans. The live-streamed concert, titled 'Celebrating Our Red, White & Blue: Veterans Day Through the Years,' featured rousing performances by participating artists including 2020 Grammy-winning baritone John Brancy, noted pianist Peter Dugan, and renowned jazz violinist and MacArthur 'Genius' Award winner Regina Carter.

From the Top, the nationally-distributed NPR program heard throughout the Los Angeles region on KUSC (FM 91.5), brings its next live recording event to the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at 7:30 PM, featuring newly announced host Peter Dugan and co-host Vijay Gupta. Dugan and Gupta will interview and perform with each of the exceptional young artists, ages 10 - 18, showcasing not just their inspiring talent, but also giving insight into the lives of these young, aspirational artists. The event, presented in conjunction with GRoW @ The Wallis, the umbrella for a robust mix of education and outreach programs at The Wallis, is open to the public and tickets are now available.
