Signature Theatre Adds Kenneth Lonergan’s MEDIEVAL PLAY to 2012 Lineup

Signature Theatre just announced that the company will produce the world premiere of Kenneth Lonergan's new play MEDIEVAL PLAY, which Lonergan will also direct. The production runs May 15 - June 24, 2012 with a June 7 opening night in The End Stage Theatre at the Company's new Frank Gehry-designed home The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). Casting will be announced at a later date.

Magic Theatre Celebrates Asian Writers, 2/9-13

Magic Theatre continues its mission of championing new, innovative theatrical voices with its 2012 Asian Explosion from February 9 through 13. This five-day festival will coincide with Magic Theatre's world premiere production of Lloyd Suh's Jesus in India, and will provide a forum for discovering and celebrating the vibrant community of Asian and South Asian writers for the theatre through a series a five readings and two solo performances offered for free to the public.

Pasek & Paul's DOGFIGHT to Play Second Stage Theatre This Summer; Mantello to Direct

Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director) will conclude its 33rd season with the World Premiere of the new musical, DOGFIGHT, featuring music and lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, a book by Peter Duchan and directed by two-time Tony Award winner Joe Mantello. Winner of the prestigious 2011 Richards Rodgers Award for Musical Theatre, DOGFIGHT will be performed at Second Stage's Tony Kiser Theatre (305 West 43rd street) this summer. SSU Department of Theatre Arts & Dance Brings HOW I LEARNED TO DRIVE On the Road
