The award-winning Vineyard Theatre will celebrate its 30th anniversary season after its enormously successful 2011-12 season - which included the acclaimed debuts of THE LYONS, OUTSIDE PEOPLE, NOW. The Baltimore Waltz by Paula Vogel will run from tonight, June 21 to July 21, 2012, at the Cape Rep Theatre, directed by Victoria Flores and starring Ryann Weir as Anna, Salty Brine as Carl, and Andrew Farmer as Third Man.

The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage has awarded $873,000 through the Philadelphia Theatre Initiative (PTI) to seven theaters, presenters, and artists in the Philadelphia area. These include six grants for upcoming productions in the 2012-14 seasons, and one for research and development of a new play.

Everyman Theatre, Baltimore's only resident professional theatre, will welcome Jonathan K. Waller as its new Marketing Director. Mr. Waller joins Everyman as it prepares for its historic move and inaugural season in its new theatre on Fayette Street.

id Theater returns to McCall, Idaho for the 12th Seven Devils Playwrights Conference, today, June 11 through June 23, sponsored by the Alpine Playhouse. 13P, the innovative collective of 13 playwrights, is about to culminate the mission it set forth upon its founding in 2003: to produce one play by each of its members. Pulitzer Finalist, TONY Award nominee and MacArthur "Genius" Fellowship recipient Sarah Ruhl (P#13) is creating a new, chamber version of her Melancholy Play (2001) with the composer Todd Almond and Davis McCallum, who directed a version of the work in 2002.

Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater's Artistic Director Molly Smith has announced that this July 2012 D.C.-area arts manager and artist David Snider will become the company's Director of Artistic Programming.
