American Theater Company (ATC), 1909 W. Byron Street, announces casting for its Midwest Premiere of Kill Floor, a contemporary drama written by Abe Koogler and directed by Jonathan Berry, being presented March 25 - May 1, 2016 (Press opening: Tuesday, March 29).  The cast, all making their ATC debuts, includes: Audrey Francis (as Andy), Sol Patches (B), Eric Slater (Rick), Darci Nalepa (Sarah), and Louie Rinaldi (Simon).

The hip hop musical is the winner of the Kennedy Prize for Historical Drama. The news was announced by Columbia University and Jean Kennedy Smith. The award, named in honor of Senator Edward M. Kennedy

The Public Theater announced complete casting today for the New York premiere of HEAD OF PASSES, written by Tarell Alvin McCraney and directed by Tina Landau. Part of Oskar Eustis' 10th anniversary season, HEAD OF PASSES begins previews on Tuesday, March 15 in the Newman Theater and runs through Sunday, April 17, with an official press opening on Monday, March 28.

The Vilcek Foundation just announced the winners of its annual Vilcek Prizes, recognizing immigrant contributions to the American arts and sciences. The 2016 Vilcek Prize in Theatre, presented to an immigrant artist with a record of major achievement in his/her field, is awarded to Blanka Zizka, the recipient of a $100,000 prize.

Yale Repertory Theatre presents the world premiere of THE MOORS by Jen Silverman, directed by Jackson Gay, beginning tonight, January 29, where it will run through February 20 at Yale Repertory Theatre (1120 Chapel Street). Opening Night is Thursday, February 4.

Columbia University Libraries/Information Services, on behalf of the board of the Edward M. Kennedy Prize for Drama Inspired by American History, has announced the five finalist works for the 2016 award:

Artists Repertory Theatre announces a stylistically diverse season of seven imaginative and entertaining plays that grapple with family and the pursuit of happiness.
