One of Orange County, California's newest theater companies, 3D Theatricals, will present HELLO, DOLLY! from July 9 through August 1 at the gorgeous O.C. Pavilion Theatre in the Arts District of downtown Santa Ana. Starring as the matchmaker Dolly Levi will be Broadway veteran (and Los Angeles-area theater favorite) Ruth Williamson. During a break from show preparations, Williamson paused briefly for a chat with BroadwayWorld's Michael Lawrence Quintos to discuss her extensive history in the theater and her excitement in taking on the iconic role.

The hit stage and screen musical marks 3D Theatrical's fourth production for 2010. Starring in the iconic role of Dolly Levi will be Broadway vet (and L.A.-area stage favorite) Ruth Williamson (Guys and Dolls).

Sam Harris took some time off his busy holiday schedule and revisited THE LIFE. This was the first time Mr. Harris had the chance to see the show in which he had a Tony nomination for the role of Jojo. He was joined on stage with the full cast and crew of Jaxx Theatricals' THE LIFE for some photos to share with BWW!

Paul Romero plays 'the Guy' and has worked extensively in regional theatre across the country and on television on programs like Spin City, Law & Order, 100 Centre Street, Chappelle's Show, All My Children, Guiding Light and several late night talk shows. Ashley Puckett Gonzales, who portrays Karol, has many regional credits, including locally at the Jupiter Maltz Theatre as Kathy in 'Full Monty,' has been seen in the 30th Anniversary national tour of 'Annie' and does voice over work for a handful of programs on Cartoon Network. Both actors are making their Gulfshore Playhouse debut.

Casting has been announced for the Los Angeles premiere of Cy Coleman and Ira Gasman's gritty musical The Life.

A benefit production of Chess, raising money for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, played at the Ford Amphitheatre in Los Angeles September 17, 2007 with a star-studded cast and multimedia heavy design...
