The humidity is starting to climb and it's what we call around here -- 'corn weather'. But in the air-conditioned theatres in the Nation's Capital there is a harvest of new shows opening. So if you're here visiting the monuments and the Smithsonian museums, get out of the heat and come see a play or a musical.

The Little River Band had one big hit entitled 'Reminiscing'. In the Everyman Theatre production of Shooting Star, baby-boomers will be reminiscing all night long as playwright Steven Dietz loves to bring a little nostalgia for those who attended college in the late sixties and early seventies. Dietz, a professor at the University of Texas in Austin, is a prolific playwright. He's penned 18 plays and is among the 'Top Ten Most Produced Playwrights in America'. After you see Shooting Star, you'll understand why.

Valentine's Day comes early to the Everyman Theatre as two one-time lovers contemplate reuniting in Steven Dietz's play, 'Shooting Star.'

Stage, screen and television actor Rosemary Prinz, perhaps best known for her role as Penny Hughes on As the World Turns, plays Mrs. Bramson.
