Academy Award ® Nominee and Grammy® Award Winner Queen Latifah will honor teachers when she hosts and narrates TEACH, a new two-hour special

Celebrities from film, television and professional sports will honor educators as part of TEACH, a new two-hour special that explores America's education system through the eyes, minds and hearts of its most essential resource – teachers, which premieres Friday, Sept. 6 (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

TNT will be the exclusive home of the 2013 NBA Eastern Conference Finals when the Miami Heat and LeBron James face the Indiana Pacers and Paul George in a best-of-seven series beginning with Game 1 from Miami on Wednesday, May 22, at 8:30 p.m. ET. The network's Sports Emmy Award-winning NBA Playoff coverage will feature Marv Albert calling the action with analysts Steve Kerr and Reggie Miller.

The Colorado Symphony today unveiled their 2013/14 season featuring a full nine months of Pops, the Inside the Score series, Family and Holiday concerts as well as 16 weeks of Masterworks programs. Based on the 1994 film, the Glasgow/UK stage version of Backbeat is making its US premiere at the Ahmanson with all the fire, guts and gusto that engender a genuinely moving dramatic story. This is not a musical, but a drama with music. Let's face it: the Beatles more than any other musical group in history changed our outlook ...and our entire culture. We not only listened to their music, but copied their haircuts, their dress, their attitude and came into sync with every move they made, some good, some bad. For those unfamiliar with how they got started, it was not really in Liverpool, but in a sleazy underground club in Hamburg. Germany in the early 60s. Backbeat fills in these background details, but much more than a docudrama, relates a powerful story about John, Paul, George, Pete Best - drummer before Ringo (Adam Sopp) - and more importantly Stu Sutcliffe (Nick Blood). Stu was an intimate artist friend of John. John literally forced Stu into the group in the early days and so his story rightfully commands as much attention in Backbeat as the legendary boys themselves. Stu's story is sad. He, unlike the others, got cheated of fame and glory.

Famed director Robert Zemeckis has officially abandoned his bold plans to remake The Beatles' YELLOW SUBMARINE. In a recent interview, he told Total Film "it's probably better not to be remade".

Following a limited season at the Menier Chocolate Factory and a UK Tour Educating Rita, the Olivier Award-winning comedy by Willy Russell, will play at the Assembly George Square Theatre this summer from Wednesday 1st - Sunday 26th August 2012 as part of the 2012 Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Claire Sweeney plays Rita and Matthew Kelly is Dr Frank Bryant in a production directed by Tamara Harvey.

The Beatles' digitally restored 1968 animated feature film, YELLOW SUBMARINE, makes its worldwide digital release debut today, exclusively on The iTunes Store (www.iTunes.com/TheBeatles).

The Beatles' classic 1968 animated feature film, Yellow Submarine, has been digitally restored for DVD and Blu-ray release on May 28 (May 29 in North America). The film's songtrack album will be reissued on CD on the same date.

I am the wrong audience for the current show at Seattle Children's Theatre, "Help". I am not an avid fan of The Beatles (blasphemy, I know), I think I'm the wrong age group for some of the choices and I'm not sure I completely understand the choice to bring a biographical play about The Beatles to a children's theatre. So yeah, wrong audience. But, even as the wrong audience I was able to appreciate the incredibly talented performers up on that stage.
