RAIN: A Tribute to The Beatles Returns to TPAC, 5/1-6

By:

RAIN – A Tribute To The Beatles, returns to Nashville for eight performances May 1 through May 6 at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center's Andrew Jackson Hall.

"More than a tribute, RAIN tells stories and takes us on a journey with a fresh, energetic approach. Scenes from the 1960s and 70s – historic television clips, period commercials, and lighting effects – are projected on giant screens. You literally feel that you have stepped back into time," said Kathleen O'Brien, TPAC's President and CEO. "These highly talented musicians don't just perform 31 Beatles songs; they take on the roles of John, Paul, George, and Ringo. It's a multi-media experience that will make you feel like you have been to a Beatles concert – and just wait until you hear While My Guitar Gently Weeps."

"A performance of RAIN is a trip in a time machine. The band captures the essence of The Beatles," said Nashville's own Richard Courtney, co-author of Come Together: The Business Wisdom of The Beatles; author of I Never Saw a Beatle; and founder and producer of the Nashville Fab Four Festival. "Even the staunchest fan has questioned how a band composed of Four Lads from Liverpool, England, transcended humanity to emerge as musical immortals. RAIN provides the answers with the energy, talent, stage presence, and of course the music – it's all about the music as John always said. If you have heard of The Beatles and never quite understood it, see this. If you think you know everything there is to know about The Beatles, see this. If you are anywhere in between, see this."
