Variety reports that stage and screen actor Paul Dano has joined the cast of For Ellen, an indie drama directed by screenwriter So Young Kim.

Today, Joe's Pub released a schedule of upcoming events January events. Broadway favorites included in the line-up are Julia Sweeney, the tribe of Hair, and Lauren Ambrose. Zoe Kazan was delighted to be cast by Richard Linklater. "I had known a lot of people who had worked with him and all of them had had nothing but the kindest things to say and they all turned out to be true. He's very easy-going and he's really hands-on as a director. He doesn't hold your hand or baby you, he let's you do the interpretation on your own and tells you what he needs and he's a lot of fun to work with.

Famed performance space Joe's Pub has announced a revised upcoming line up of event in November and early December. Kelly Joe Phelps who was previously scheduled to perform on 11/14, has pulled out and has been replaced PT Walkley.

Variety is reporting that Paul Dano will team up with Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz in a new, yet-to-be-named action comedy, formerly titled 'Wichita.' Filming begins in Boston in October.

The producers of the critically acclaimed Off-Broadway production of' Thornton Wilder's Our Town, have announced that Obie Award-winner Jason Butler Harner will assume the central role of 'Stage Manager' in David Cromer's staging of Wilder's timeless play. Beginning Tuesday, August 25th, Mr. Harner will succeed Mr. Cromer who departs the company to begin rehearsals for his Broadway directorial debut this fall with Neil Simon's Brighton Beach Memoirs and Broadway Bound.
