Pediped Footwear Announces A $15,000 Donation To VH1 Save The Music

On July 12th pediped® footwear announced a $15,000 grant donation to the VH1 Save the Music Foundation in support of instrumental music education. pediped® footwear's goal is to give back to children in need and their generous donation to the VH1 Save The Music Foundation will bring the organization one step closer to achieving their goal of ensuring that no child be deprived of the opportunity to experience a complete education that includes music.

GLEE's Mark Salling Launches Starburst Contradictions Project

Mark Salling, everyone's favorite glee club member, has teamed up with Starburst to launch The Starburst Contradictions Project. The program, in partnership with the VH1 Save The Music Foundation, celebrates those contrasts and differences that exist in all of us and make us unique. This is inspired by Starburst's inherent product contradiction - it's solid, yet juicy like a liquid.

Songwriters Music Series Kicks Off in New York with Matthew Morrison, 5/10

On May 10th, the VH1 Save The Music Foundation will kick off the Songwriters Music Series at the Hard Rock Cafe New York with a short acoustic set by musician and 'Glee' star Matthew Morrison. Following the launch in NYC, the series will travel to Nashville, Tennessee on June 2nd with a performance by the ACM Award-winning sibling trio The Band Perry at the Hard Rock Café's Reverb Room and Los Angeles in September with a soon to be announced artist.

VH1's Save the Music Foundation Honors Julie Andrews, 11/8; Cheyenne Jackson Hosts

On Monday, November 8th, the VH1 Save The Music Foundation will honor Julie Andrews along with Grammy® Award Winners John Legend, John Mayer and The ASCAP Foundation. Paul Williams, legendary songwriter and President of The ASCAP Foundation, will accept on behalf of The Foundation. Additionally, Natasha Bedingfield, a member of the VH1 Save The Music Alumni Ambassador Group, is scheduled to perform and the program for the evening, presented by LG Mobile Phones, will celebrate music as a universal language that shapes our life stories and include a special tribute to the 45th Anniversary of Rodgers & Hammerstein's The Sound of Music by Kristin Chenoweth. The festivities will be hosted by Broadway veteran and 30 Rock star Cheyenne Jackson.

On Friday, November 13th at 11AM, the cast of the hit Broadway musical ROCK OF AGES joined with the VH1 Save The Music Foundation to celebrate the show's support of music education in our nation's schools. This past spring, ROCK OF AGES donated $30,000 to the Foundation through a month-long ticket promotion, which enabled the VH1 Save The Music Foundation to grant a full set of new musical instruments to jumpstart the music education program at PS/IS 111 this school year.
