The North Carolina Symphony's popular summer outdoor concerts return for another season, as the 2015 Rex Healthcare Summerfest Series brings great music for relaxed listening to Cary's Booth Amphitheatre May 23 through July 9. This summer marks the 30th anniversary of performances in Cary and the orchestra's 15th season in the stunning lakeside pavilion built by the Town of Cary, a major sponsor of Summerfest.

"Raiding the Rock Vault" celebrated its debut at The New Tropicana Las Vegas on Friday, Nov. 7, with a star-studded red carpet event, where Las Vegas celebrities joined rock legends for a special kick-off party. The sold-out show, which pays homage to rock's greatest hits from the '60s, '70s and '80s, was met with standing ovations by the enthusiastic audience who welcomed the show to its new home at the Tropicana Theater.

The Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts (PTPA) will present JOPLIN'S PEARL FEATURING AMBER FERRARI tonight, November 1st at 8:00 PM. Amber is a powerhouse and during the first half of her show she will perform the music of some of her favorite Artists like Jefferson Airplane, Pat Benatar, Annie Lennox and others along with her own original music! The second half of her show is dedicated to the greatest rocker of them all, the legendary Janis Joplin. When she steps out on stage dressed as Janis herself and begins to sing, audience members will feel as if they have stepped back in time. With complete command of their styles and with authenticity of the music, even the original artists would find Amber Ferrari and her powerful band a fine tribute to their legacy. Remember the totally awesome days of neon and spandex? They're Here! Playhouse South is going full on 1980's with their production of THE WEDDING SINGER, based on the popular 1998 film starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. The show takes place in 1986 and follows Robbie Hart, New Jersey's favorite wedding singer. When his fiancee leaves him at the altar, he discovers that he cannot stand to be around weddings and lashes out at every happy couple for whom he sings. Heartbroken, he is forced to reexamine the meaning of love and marriage before he destroys every wedding in New Jersey. With the help of Julia, a local catering waitress, Robbie embarks on a hilarious journey of identity, romance, and Bar Mitzvahs.
