Cast Announced for SHERLOCK HOLMES AND THE CASE OF THE JERSEY LILY at Centenary Stage

Veteran actors return to Centenary Stage Company (CSC) next month for the October production of Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Jersey Lily, October 7 through 23 in the Lackland Performing Arts Center in Hackettstown.  The production will be directed by Carl Wallnau, award-winning CSC Artistic Director.

Lantern Theater Company and the Fels Institute of Government will partner to host political economist Mark Blyth for George Bernard Shaw - Theater, Economics, and Social Justice on Wednesday, September 21, 2016, at 6 p.m. on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania. Presented in conjunction with the Lantern's current production of Shaw's Mrs. Warren's Profession, Blyth will explore the play's economic themes in this one-hour program moderated by Lantern Artistic Director Charles McMahon; an audience Q&A will follow. Members of the press are invited to attend. College of DuPage (COD) College Theater presents Oscar Wilde's "A Woman of No Importance," directed by COD Professor of Theater, Amelia Barrett at the McAninch Arts Center's Studio Theatre, Oct. 6-23. "A Woman of No Importance" premiered in 1893 in London's Haymarket Theatre. As with many of Wilde's plays, it satirizes English upper class society and features many witty, memorable and highly quotable lines, such as "Men marry because they are tired; women because they are curious. Both are disappointed;" and "Nothing succeeds like excess." Please note: This play contains adult language and themes.
